FastTech SolarStorm SC01/02/03 lights

I guess not but … have low battery warning?

No - no direct to high.

Also not sure how it handled a low/drained battery.

Hey tom can you do some measurements on 14500, im curious as to what the low low will be.

Tom has already provided that information:

14500:

“Very low” mode: 14 lumens

“Low” mode: 56 lumens

“High” mode: 544 lumens

Guess i missed that, thanks for pointing it out.

Here we see two real images of the 3 SolarStorm SC together:

Nobody provides more information? Or pictures?
Video? Review? Anything? I’m impatient for my Solarstorm SC family arrives.

Work with flat-top batteries? have spring in the positive pole?

Excellent info. Thanks. Looks like a winner here.

For NiMH I do not like but great power with14500. Quality is not bad.

Just got my SC01, SC02 and SC03 in hot off the mail truck. I’ll do some photos for a quick review and then it’s likely that some/all will go to DayLighter. Thanks Trevi_lux for the comparison to the Olight S15. Right now I’m torn between a Ti D25A clicky and the Ti Olight S15 and leaning toward the Olight because it has moonlight mode.

Did CNQ drop their price? It is $13 for CW excluding shipping now.

The PWM isn’t nearly as obnoxious with the low mode ramped up. My wife and son couldn’t see the PWM and the wife took the SC02 and put it in her desk drawer and said “MINE” lol. These are interesting lights. I would definitely pay double for one with a better driver. I’ll probably use these as beaters.

not quite the recommendation Tom gave them

13$ each if you buy 10.

I’m old and fussy. This week I’ll have my Ti S15 which should better suit me. But the SCxx lights are fine lights if you are not susceptible to the low frequency PWM, which I happen to be. Everything else about them is solid. Some minor fit and finish issues with mine like the mis-aligned button, but overall I think they are a good value. The output on high is superb, but you have to go through low to get to high. It remembers the ramp setting so I can mitigate the effects of the PWM by keeping low ramped up to where the light is basically high and turbo. The SC02 goes to the wife and the SC03 will probably replace the cheap CR123A light in my truck emergency kit. The SC01 will probably be just a beater.

But yeah, so far these are really making me want the S10 and S15. At least I learned that I really like the electronic side switches

Haha, they have reverted the price. It was $13 when I landed on their site 5hrs ago. I added 2 pieces in my cart but it cos $15 or so per piece and I did not proceed further.

i got my sc02 yesterday after only 8 days from ordering (free shipping option)

its a great light for the price… pwm is crappy on the lowest setting, but it gets better if you ramp it up a hair

the light range isnt great… theres the ramping mode which seems like it goes from medium to high and then a turbo which is slightly brighter than high

i like the light though for the price - i have the 14500 model coming from BG in neutral white

i will def use these lights as everday users/beaters

Wow.
Alone the “way” from FT’s ‘Shipped’ status to Singapore Post’s ‘Information Received (This is not an acknowledgment of the physical receipt of the stated Registered Article)’: 5 days.
Another 2 days for shipment: ‘Despatched to overseas (Country code…)’.
This was 2.5 weeks ago.
Since that day it’s somewhere between unknown/random location and customs.

Mine shipped April 4th and 8th and I got both packages yesterday. That’s 6 days from China to WA state for the SC03 … impressive.
