If the SG3 came with both reflectors I’d be in, but $11.50 for the extra reflector? Definitely out.
I’d do $44 for the SG3+throw reflector. The SF3 has it and I don’t need the headstrap, I just need a right-angle light.
What! Is that too much J)
Zebralight and Spark (among others like Armytek) are seriously overpriced + chinese carbon is really cheap especially because you don’t need high strength and thickness carbon like for bicycle components/frames…
A year ago or so I was really excited about bike light that they were getting ready to release (SDB100) and when they finally did, price was like $160+ and I was like:
I have a Zebralight H502d (as well as many other flashlights), which is a good flashlight and one I use nearly every day, but the fact that it starts off in High1 or H2 is a negative. I like the fact that the SGx has memory mode as Medium will provide enough light and has quite a long battery life.
-Is the only difference between the SG SF the head mounting hardware?
-For $44 are you guys essentially buying it because it is a good headlamp or because it serves as a good torch also?
I believe the SF series comes with both flood and spot reflector. But its a flashlight form factor, light comes out the front.
The SG series only comes with a flood reflector (spot reflector is extra) but it is in Headlamp form-factor, where the light comes out the side. I also like the SG3's small size personally, as it takes 16340 batteries. This is all I know between the SF and SG series. Maybe others can chime in about more differences.
Sorry for the off-topic, but you know your Zebralight can also start in Low (several low available), if you do a ~0,6s press on the switch? It can even start on medium if you do a longer press (the light will switch on in low then go to medium)
My Zebralight H31fc is currently my favourite EDC…hope the Sparks will replace it!
Guys, Wallbuys will be having a sale on SF5 NW for $42.99 starting on April 30th. This is a good news for those interested in SF5 if this GB doesn’t happen.
