My UF-H2b from DinoDirect has arrived!

The light looks really high quality. I think I will be getting one.

I've just received UF-H2b safely this afternoon..seem to be good quality after external inspection. I'm testing with ni-MH after 15 mins felt very warm....I'll test more tomorrow...:-)

Hey, glad to see you guys are already receiving these. I got a shipment notice yesterday.

Can you tell us when you received your notice the light was shipped? Just trying manage my expectations.

Thanks

I got my shipped notice 2 days after ordering, so 6 days for delivery.

mine was 3 days after ordering...on 20th

Hello. Could you please to us that are not in the know what a visible PWM means? I know PMS. Is it similar?

thank you...

PWM
Pulse Width Modulation. A technique of varying the brightness of a LED by flashing it on and off very quickly, making it appear to the eye that the LED is dimmer. Good PWM is at such a high rate that you can't notice it. But if you wave your hand in front of the light and get a strobe effect, the PWM is getting too low. Some use current regulation which makes the light dimmer without PWM and is also more efficient.

BWUA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAA

Actually , it can be slightly to very annoying....

I was lucky enough to get the "tactical" box, and this light appears and feels well made. Good construction, solid but not overdone clicky, smooth threading, good clip strength...it might spoil me on my standard for budget any lights. I was also surprised by the size. It's just a hair longer and a little wider than my Black Cat (AAA battery).

It's hard to compare the light output, since it's much floodier than other small lights, but I think that's good for headlight use.

I also tried 14500 and NiZn with success.

I would have to say 5 stars with the only possible exception being the headband clips. They work, but they're tight, and I'm not sure how long they will last if you take the light in/out a lot. However, I found out with the size, flood and clip you can just clip the light to your collar, and it makes a nice headband alternative especially if you're working with your hands out in front of you. I realize that puts the nerd factor through the roof, but hey, you can't hold back when you're fighting off the darkness.

I know members have had issues in the past with DinoDirect, but I have to give them 5 stars on my experience. Communication was good, shipping quick, free upgrade to registered mail, great product.

A big THANKS to Agenthex and Semur for putting this together. I hope there are more, and I hope the members that have contributed so much to BLF get another offer at least as good as this one.

ooooooooooh the pain. the pain. i ordered mine right away but ... no light yet - maybe takes longer to get to the mid-west

I must also admit that I was a little hesitent regarding an order from a seller with (at least a few) complaints.

Happy end - order for 1 x UF-H2b received, flashlight is excellent (I got also the box), very good quality, above average for a budget light!!!

This is my 1st headlamp (I don't have any Zebralight) and looks cool, I'll see more when the need for jobs in dark spots arises!

Thanks

hello everyone, i am glad that some of the members have got the headlamps and are satisfied with it. thanks for your support.

Please wait patiently, the time to different countries is different. Please do now worry.

Pantaloonie, please allow me to post my thoughts on the UF-H2b, so we'll avoid creating "extra" threads for a similar reason...

I now that a lot of us, hanging here at BLF, have made a list of “TRUSTED” sellers (from CN and HK) in their minds and DinoDirect was NOT in them, until now anyway!!!

In my case, UF-H2b was ordered (and paid) on July 20th, was ready to ship on 22nd and got a tracking Nr on 25th – parcel left HK (as tracked) at 26th and arrived to me on August 2nd! That’s above average, for Asian sellers!

Although I now own only 3 lights (HDS, Armytek, 4Sevens), at least 30 have pasted from my hands in the last 9 months I’m involved with this hobby and I must say that the quality of this Ultrafire is above average (for a budget light, it could be on the TOP!)

This headlamp is SMALL, came well lubed, in a beautiful box (that is probably used in a few other headlights also).

Threads are well made and the beam is FLOODY – I’m not used in something like this (I like throwers) but I believe it will be handy in applications suitable for these kind of lights (headlamps).

Althought I only tested it with AA (Ultimate Lithium 1.5v), I believe it will be even better with NiMH and I intend to try it with 3.7v Li-Ions!!!

I don’t know if I will EDC this light (my HDS 170 usually covers that need) but I believe it can have a good use in a tool box or other similar jobs, requiring free hand use.

Interface is very good (press to ON, hold for intensity adjustment), button is a little “stiff” but this is probably on purpose, to avoid accidental On and OFF…

Clip is OK (could be a little larger), can be removed easily with an allen key

Magnet on tail looks strong- can easily hold the UF’s weight without a problem

For this price (close to $17), this is a TOP buy, could easily be recommended for a price close to $25, which is HALF from similar ZEBRALIGHTS…

So, conclusions:

  1. This Group Buy was a VERY successful one
  2. DinoDirect has proven (at least for a few of us) a RELIABLE seller
  3. Ultrafire UF-H2B is a FANTASTIC headlamp, especially for $17!!!

I hope you meant Please do noT worry, hehe.

haha, i am sorry for that , i do mean that.

Good to hear that you received it..

I also made a small review here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/3168
in the Headlamp forum.

The box is definitely a nice gift!
Im using it now for flashlight parts.. (there are 2 clips inside now.. 1 from this headlamp, and 1 from my sipik clone)

I really like the headlamp.
After comparing the light with my sipik clone, I must say that I hoped it to be a bit brighter!

What do you guys think about the output? (on eneloops)

I like the UF-H2 so much,I've just ordered the UF-H1, the CR123a version, also from Dinodirect.

They don't seem to stock the H3 or H4, but if I can find them at the right price, I'll collect the whole family.

I am too disappointed in the output. It could be lot more. A Sipik clone blows this away using NiMh. I measured the respective tailcap currents: 1.1A (UF-H2b) vs 2.2A (Sipik clone)

I don't think the point of this light or headlamps in general is maximum output, esp w/ the all-flood lens on it. They're more for use when you're actually in complete darkness (you have to put the headband on, etc) in which case twice as bright just means half the runtime.
