EDCGEAR carabiner tools, mini prybars, keyring gadgets, etc.

Thanks for your information Chloe, I was looking some items you mentioned.
Thank you!

awesome tools! what is the function of the pry bar?

Which one? Some of them have cutaways to open cans and bolts, and slotted screws.

Mostly I would use the pico bar for opening paint cans and other odd things one might misuse a knife or flat-bladed screwdriver for.

I found a nice pic comparing three of them:

I couldn’t resist these ^, or this v

so far I’ve got enough “pocket tools” to fill three pockets and a bag, thanks Chloe, I think.

If you are still looking for a Pico Widgy Prybar in Titanium then here you are.

 :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m still waiting for those EMT shears and hoping they’ll be a good addition to my first aid kit.

I’m using mine to make a diagonal cut on the end of 550 paracord so that I can melt it and shape it into a point to get it through tight spots when cord wrapping knife handles. If they’ll cut paracord at a steep angle I think they’ll be fine for your EMT needs, they have one blade serrated and one bevelled so once you start a cut it grips the material and doesn’t stip as much as plain edges would.

And for titanium fans here’s an ebay search.

I found the original carbon fibre key holder on Kickstarter, called ‘Switchy’:

I like this ‘lightning’ carbon fibre with copper thread. I can’t help imagine it will be like a floppy friction folder in practice…

Does anyone know what these two cutaways might be for?

Ahh, thank you!

Be a great start for a really thick bladed friction folder!
Some of the YouTube channels, Tuffthumbz mostly, were complaining about working with the Lightning Strike carbon fibre because it leaves tiny spikes of copper if you aren’t very careful about finishing, the more you sand it smooth the more the copper wires appear and the more you have to sand.
I’m not a great fan of Carbon Fibre but the Uni-directional can make interesting “contour map” lines on knife scales.

Elishewitz Custon Creations

Reminds me of burnt woodgrain, it’s all carbon. Elishewitz starts at $650 for linerlocks so I’m out of the target market segment. :frowning:

why no? why crying?

I still use the Navy 2001 Atwood knockoff on my keychain. I gave my Gerber Shard to a friend because the missus said she didn’t like it on the keychain.

That’s nice.

See post #20 about kitten tails. ;_;

oic you were commenting no on the anterior post not your posterior line

This Nite Ize keychain tool looks interesting. It’s in the same price range as most of the tools here except with 2 day Prime shipping if you live in the USA.

I like the name. I think it’s not good placement of the spring clip, for bottle opening and as a nut opener (Wrench? Spanner?). Though most of these tools don’t look very comfortable to use.

Hmmm good point. In the photo it looks like it’s just begging to trap your finger. I’m not sure I’m ready to be called ‘lefty’ quite yet.

CNQ now sell beacon light EDCGEAR in AAA or AA format for only $8-9. > http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=2033

I wonder about the runtime and the weird “don’t use rechargeable batteries” warning.

Looks like a Glo-Toob. I wonder how it compares…
