This Nite Ize keychain tool looks interesting. It’s in the same price range as most of the tools here except with 2 day Prime shipping if you live in the USA.
I like the name. I think it’s not good placement of the spring clip, for bottle opening and as a nut opener (Wrench? Spanner?). Though most of these tools don’t look very comfortable to use.
The neat little pry tool with the measurements marked off on it, with the notched “wrench” in the middle? Not original, I’ve had one exactly like that since the late 1980’s. Not wearing the EDC name though.
I don’t have one of these neat pry bars so I have to ask:
should I order a standard one http://www.aliexpress.com/item/EDC-Tool-Stainless-Steel-MINI-Pry-Bar-FREE-SHIPPING/1596457018.html
Or something else which is more fancy?
I have a huge heavy foldingknife (in leopard style) which I got for two dollar in my maxpedition bag so I have something to abuse and pry but you know you can never have enough of this stuff…
I guess it depends. Do you think you would use a pry bar with the extra features (e.g. bottle opener, wrench)? For me it will just sit in the tool box with my other tools, so I don’t mind a plain simple bar.
The original CountyComm Widgy pry bars are made from heat treated D9 steel, the EDC ones are stainless steel, I haven’t compared one for one but both will save a broken knife blade.
