That's a real looker isn't it? It would be perfect with an XM-L, a clip, and 4 non-strobe modes. But as is, it looks like a great deal and a nice piece of work.

A clip would be very nice. It wouldn't be hard to add with a few tapped holes on the tail. I think an M3 tap should just about handle the lanyard holes. I measure them at Ø2.4mm.
NOOOOOO!!! I was too late! I'd intended to post a review about FandyFire XG-V5 during the weekend but I was too busy. Now you went and reviewed it's SkyRay counterpart before me. Big shame on you. Hmph. It doesn't matter. I will post it anyway. FandyFire is so much better than the useless Skyray clones anyway...

how does this light compare to the kd C8 reviewed on this forum?
That is an apples-to-oranges comparison. Two totally different styles of lights, two different emitters. Only thing they have in common is the 18650 battery.
The C8 has a 45mm head, and is a thrower.
The SS light in the OP has a slim body with the head the same as the body, and is an XP-G, whereas the C8 is an XM-L.
One is Stainless Steel, one is not. Hard to compare them.
...and one black and the other is silver :p

My "C8" is my V-Shark which is indeed a different light. They each have their purpose.

It is modified to pull 2.8A but it is a 40mm thrower much like the C8.
Really nice review, BST! A lot of attention to detail and great pictures. I love the look of this light and the Skyray logo is very cool. Once Don starts hanging out and pays off the note on his dog, this seems like it would be right up his alley.
Great review/pics. anyone have this light and a xeno e03? i got a cool e03 xml and as bright floody as it is im looking for some throw.
Just ordered this light today from Manafont. I'll be using Trustfire flames.. hoping that still gets me a bright G6...
The light only draws about 1 amps so the flames will do fine.
