I don’t mind the handle but I just don’t like the power button on the handle… that’s mean the handle can’t be remove.
It’s the same reason for holding me back from buying BlackShadow terminator II even though it has a great price from IS :~

The SRK quad clearly have more flood (at least spill). The Quad with a handle have a wider hotspot.

9mm thick LED shelf…whoah, alot of meat there to soak up and move that heat…if you really crank up the power it will definitely make the head get warm…but that’s what it’s supposed to do 8)
Now just need a driver with 4 independent channels to power the emitters, even at a heft 3A a piece…boy howdy will that thing suck the juice
I believe the 12A 32*7135 BLF SRK driver might be able to be divided into sub channels by cutting some traces…
What is the diameter of the driver? (nm I see it in your updated data)

I was so baffled by my initial measurement using a toothpick(:D) that I went and caliper measured the length of the head, depth from the driver side, and depth from the front. I was expecting your typical 1-3mm thick shelf, but instead was greeted with 9mm of potential.
It definitely at the very least deserves to be converted to copper stars and bumped to a minimum of 3A per led.
I too have a 3xml SRK that needs fixing, but this one jumped to the front of the line by showing me its assets. :bigsmile:
The head looks like it is very similar size to the Nitecore TM26 Tiny Monster or even smaller but for one hell of a lot less money. Lots of head fins it looks like which is good for cooling. I just ordered one as I have a weakness for lights with handles. So far I have a Terminator and a Terminator T70, a Solarstorm SP03 and a Supfire L1. I also have a Nitecore handle and clamping ring coming that I think will fit Supfire M6 lights in addition to the Nitecore TM lights and also possibly my SRK lights. Also a Niteye Eye 30 handle that looks like it might fit any light with a tripod socket. See what fits what when they arrive.
Nice! This lil’ guy is still my go-to light when I want to blast something with a lot of light. 
Poor little SRKs have just been sitting collecting dust.

Actually if you look closely at the photo on the AliExpress listed light it appears to be the same light as this one, though with a greatly exaggerated Lumens claim on the AliExpress light. 2000 Lumens per XM-L2 would achieve instant self destruction of the LEDs.
The question then becomes whether or not they are the same internally. I have bought two SRK clones which appeared virtually identical to look at but they had totally different internal construction, making one a suitable customization/hop up candidate and the other a hopeless POS light that was stuck at no better than the original 1800 Lumens maximum actual measured output. The less expensive light was the better one in that case, both from Amazon sellers.
The OP was nice enough to disassemble the light reported on here, take photos shown, and it looks like it has excellent internal construction and is a great hop up candidate. The other remains a pig in a poke until someone does a similar analysis and report. Do you want to be the guinea pig?
The SRKs with all of their internal variation are teaching us that the same external appearance and even name on some Chinese made lights means NOTHING as far as internal construction details are concerned. Very similar appearing lights can vary tremendously internally.
Hmm, why isnt’t this more popular? It seems to have great heat management.
The bezels. 60% sure its the bezels. Heck, I don’t like them.
But I have a bench grinder. And I need something to finally push me over into buying new wheels for it. XD
This light is on my list most definitely. But I would have to buy another quartet of new high-quality cells to feed it, and that’s another $30 on top of the light. And I have other projects that take priority now over another toy.
This review from May seems to be the only mention I found for it and for some reason the major China web sellers do not seem to have picked it up so it is not an easy item to find. It still seems to be pretty new too. I did find a China seller now has it listed on Amazon.

So basically too new and with lousy distribution and little group discussion so far it seems. I have one coming and it will go to RMM to see what he can do with it when it arrives. The OP has never apparently reported on his modification attempt, if any done.

RMM just finished doing a SupFire L1 for me and reports that with Sony high current batteries and the copper mounted LEDs he installed plus driver mods and braided battery springs it is now putting out 7300 Lumens in Turbo mode. He may also have upgraded the wiring. It also now has the same seven level output UI driver he uses in his standard SupFire M6 modification which ONLY outputs 4600 Lumens in Turbo mode so the 5 leds on the L1 are putting out almost as much per LED as the three in the M6 from his level 2 modification.
If he can do the same with this little monster it should be close to 6000 Lumens when he is finished with it, adequate I think! :bigsmile:
BTW he reported doing the L1 was a real PITA as it has 5 separate reflectors which are held between a front plate and the LEDs so getting everything reasonably well aligned during reassembly was a PITA. He did NOT seem anxious to do another! This might be a good alternative.
Bezels are ridiculous for 23 reasons.
But are they removable? Unscrew and replace with standard type? Grinding down 4 bezels is a bit tedious! I’m keen to hear any modding attempts and what’s involved.
