Found 4th generation Eneloops in a retail store (Microcenter, on the outskirts of Philadelphia); in 4-packs and 8-packs.
They have AAs packaged with chargers (two different kinds of chargersā¦ they looked cheap); and Black XX in both AAA and AA.
I was even surprised to find some Tenergy LSD D-Cells.
They look real but did you possibly take them out of the packet before putting back in to take the photos?
Why I ask is that Panasonic make very sure the eneloop logo is facing outwards in the packaging in exactly the same way for every cell and they use a light adhesive to keep them in place. Iād be wary if these came in the pack as displayed in your photo.
All my Eneloops are Sanyo Gen 3, I have several packs unopened, and the 4 AA Eneloops in a charger, are exactly the same, centred. 3 packs of coloured 8 x AA, 2 packs UOMO, 1 pack Rouge, same, all front and fairly close to centred. Also, 1 pack of 4 x AAA, centred.
I do have one 4 pack in the charger though, that has one battery that is maybe 30 degrees off centre, but the other 3 are centred too.
All bought from bricks and mortar stores with good reputation in Australia.
I just opened the pack 2-minutes ago.
Good point about the logo facing front.
Microcenter is a very reputable store (theyāre a lot like Fryās).
Maybe some 3rd party is repackaging the batteries for the U.S. Market?
The labels are very precisely applied.
I see a sort of indented watermark on the bottom of the label: 13 - 12M2 if Iām reading it correctly.
The batteries/labels are pretty much flawless. If theyāre not legit, theyāre supreme quality bootlegs.
Iāll take pictures of the batteries themselves and post them later tonight.
I guess that has rubbed off on me, because when I place eneloops in my charger, I always feel compelled turn them all slightly so the logo is showing. Or maybe thatās just my OCD.
Iām new to Eneloopsā¦ I just bougth a first series of 4th gen at nkon.
So far I love them, and also the design of the standard white ones.
While browsing this topic I saw pictures of the different special editions that where issued in the last years.
I would like to know where I can order special editions to ship to Europe. I saw the Tropical ones at nkon.nl.
Iām not fond of buying these off eBayā¦
Iām not sure if these are still available somewhere, but I would love to get a set of AA uomo tones!
I stopped buying eneloops off ebay or chinese websites once I saw a reputable member was offering them here. (ChibiM) I prefer to have to pay a bit more (shipping to my country is expensive) and have the peace of mind of having genuine cells right out of Japan!
Maybe he can get them for you larry. And btw, bienvenu!
Iāve got a C-9000 and hundreds of eneloops from a number of years but never knew the production info. This will help for longer trips when I want to take the fresher cells with me. Such a pain when the MAHA is only a 4 cell charger and I use so many. Many Thanks for the info.
