The Thrunite T10 has been around for a while, but the old model was a simple 1xAA twisty. A few months ago, they came out with the T10S, which is quite different. I really liked the idea of the T10S, especially the option of using the tailcap switch or a twist of the head to change modes. Unfortunately, the high price and high weight has kept me away.
I just got an e-mail from Thrunite about their current TiS giveaway promotion, and while I was on their site I noticed a light I had not seen before - a T10. It has the same twisty/clicky interface, but an aluminum body (at half the weight) and a lower price (currently $29.95).
Has anyone else seen this yet? I’d love to hear more about it, but all I can find on the forums or the interwebz is the old T10 twisty.
Here’s a link if anyone else wants to take a look at it:
They basically just released the T10S in aluminum and titanium and called it the T10 and the T10T. The new T10 doesn’t have anything to do with the old T10 which is now called the Saber. Whatever they call them, the new models look nice. I have the T10S and I’m a big fan, so I’ll be getting the T10T soon. But the T10[A] looks like a solid deal at 30 bucks.
An off topic question where can I buy the L10? I’ve seen it somewhere but they asked $15 for postage. Is there any from China/HK? I contacted Supbeam which I think is the OEM of L10 but they still haven’t replied to my email.
If I understand correctly, the L3 L10 is actually made by Supbeam, who has their own L10 with slightly different specs (moon/med/high/strobe instead of moon/low/med/high, XP-G instead of XP-G2 or Nichia 219). I think the only way to get the L3 version is to special-order them in bulk, and only two stores have done so, and they’re both based in the US so shipping costs more.
