wow lightmall

Sadly this is actually the typical run around that comes from Lightmalls.

They have a couple of drivers that they have that I love or I wouldn’t order from them at all. Even then I have problems from them and it’s always a fight trying to get them to do the right thing. I have spent days and days dealing with their runaround.

Nothing wrong with the seller, just an arrogant self-righteous UK buyer !

A bit of both perhaps

So they covered you, and you still post on BLF?

+1

Dazed dont act as thick as the 2 posters before you, how am I covered? Ive paid for 2 batteries they have sent the wrong ones, ive waited nearly 6 weeks to

So them not replying to my emails for nearly a week, and then taking 2 and half hours on live chat to agree to send me ONE not the TWO ive paid for ( which ive still had no email or confirmation that there even sending anything)

I suppose you’d be happy with that? And consider that good practice Yes, no

There is nothing at all wrong with posting this. It’s a heads up to show exactly what you can expect when having to deal with their customer service. This is the exact same runaround that they have given me on more than one occasion. In fact it’s the only type of response I have ever gotten from them when THEY mess something up.

As I said earlier I still order from them but only because they have a couple of drivers that I can’t find anyplace else. But that they even managed to mess up on my last order. Also as the OP states they are SLOW, like old time China shipping slow.

I am not saying that people shouldn’t order from Lightmalls. What I am saying is that if you do you should be aware of these problems. The OP does us a service by sharing his experience and I thank him for doing so. Was it also a rant? Sure but so what? I don’t see anything wrong with him getting it off his chest.

One of the few rules on this site is that we are asked to be polite to other members. I would ask that people please show this guy the same respect you would show to any other member regardless of the amount of times they have posted here. Being rude to relative noobs is a great way of getting them to leave this forum and with them goes their valuable experience. We were all noobs once and just look how fast most of us became members who add all kinds of knowledge to this forum.

Thanks for posting gouldy and I hope that nobody here has scared you away. We are generally a very polite bunch of people who are as helpful as we can be.

Thanks 18sixfifty I was beginning to think I was being out of order posting it

Thanks mate

No problem buddy, Hope to see you around.

The question is if they can suffice with a discount on apparently more or less comparable, yet wrong (as in not ordered) item.
Is it a reasonable solution?
And:
Can you really not use the batt they sent, or is this about ‘principles’?
But mostly: Who can tell?

Yeah thats a joke.

Order a Fenix, you get a handful of sk68’s.
Yeah, but you have many more lights than just one. Its better yes? Now you have many more lumens than Fenix.
OK, we refund you 50%, then you can buy Fenix.

But to be fair, she probably cant comprehend why you care about the difference, she would likely never buy a battery or flashlight they produce, it would be decadent. 1st world problems with 3rd world supply.

Half off is still half on. Basically they have sold him something he would never order himself. Dont know about you, but I decide what I spend my money on, not the store.

Too expensive to organise for its return, tough. Get better at packing orders and you wont have that problem. Send me the exact battery I ask for, or dont send anything but my money back. Its so easy.

Another way of looking at it…
Your order comes in two parts, first is the 1/2 price gift, that we charge you for. If you notice, its half price. If you dont, it costs the same as the item you actually wanted. If you do notice, who knows, maybe this time we send what you want, or maybe, we send another bonus instead. Lucky Lucky 77.

So basically, if you dont spot the error, the cheap battery is sold at a premium.

Well, people make mistakes…
And it’s sent from far away, so you can forget about returning it and swapping it for the right one at the store, like in the previous century. :stuck_out_tongue:
But they’re so damn cheap!
Worth taking some risk like being unable to return and / or swap etc…
This we all know up front.

So, is 50% back a reasonable solution?
That’s the question.

i could use the battery yes, BUT i read on a forum that the jingjong ICR was a king kong cell so when it just reached 2600mah by the skin of its teeth, plus sometimes when i put them in my charger, the charger takes a few attempts to pick the batteries up, like ive not put anything in, so that’s another thing im really not happy about, and ive got over 45 different batteries from junk to sanyo Samsung, lg, Panasonics, and not 1 of them does the same thing

so as you can gather for yourself they are defiantly not king kongs so its a bit more than principle, as ive said i just want what i ordered, and i don’t want to pay any more to get it
ive compromised on only getting ONE and TBH i really doubt they will even send it, if they don’t i wont even bother chasing them up, they’ll just loose my business

the charger im talking about is this one

$20 is not cheap for 2 junk batteries

Youre ridiculous.

in fact after im happy with the resolution (if any) if anyone in the uk wants them ill even pay postage and you can have them

That has nothing to do with it.

on a more civil note (hint hint), how much do the batteries weigh? HKJ weighed 3 different king kongs and got 88.9g, 91.6g, and 89.9g.

If they are fake (they obviously are), they should weigh less.

I solid not accept even the “one extra cell” (of course is not extra, is half your order!)
I would open a pp dispute and let them fight for me
