Ervin's try (2nd. Annual BLF Scratch Made Light Contest) update 6/23/2014 finally beam shots of my new thrower

onetrickpony,Rufusbduck thank you both, super advices. I guess this are the type of benefits on an very friendly and with a lot of talented and experienced members around.
thanks to both of you it looks like driver going in a revision…

design in second post, started to update.

This is one seriously cool project black hole time sucking project(I like that) I’m enjoying your imagination both on paper, in copper, and on the keyboard. Just don’t lose your job over it.

As RBD said. I'm glad the soldering worked out for you in the end.

I really like your concept drawings. The light is starting to take shape nicely!

…Poor desk…

Ervin Anastasi, I like your designs very much. Like Steampunk but more workable for everyday use. Literally brilliant.

Brilliant, though I have no idea really (out of my depth) I thoroughly enjoyed reading so far.

That’s Ervin! Always thinking outside of the box with another very original and neat idea. I look forward to seeing more.

thank you all for the support  , the work is going on, updates sec. post in design section:
cooper,cooper ……. …cooper …… :stuck_out_tongue:

Great work on the radiator design Ervin. Play doh as a modeling form. Copper is hard to work since it gets hot when you grind it so I’ve had tender fingers too. Posting is nearly as much work but not nearly as much fun.

Looking great so far !

For grins if you want to shine up your heat sink, just soak it for a while in some Lemon juice. Looking good.

thanks scotty, just what i need now

again update, to the led, all in cooper …. (…if this thing does not perform in the end i seriously risk to kill myself :p)

amazing job, your patient is awesome!

That’s a bunch of work, way outside the box thinking, and very clever sourcing with imaginative manipulation of the pieces parts to make them do what you envision. Well done! How you come up with this is beyond me, dream?

Can’t wait to see it working…

Gee willikers Batman, that’s labour intesive! That would have to be the most technical hand made head I’ve ever seen. I hope it turns out to your liking

great job Ervin!

i like that kind of building things…

Great job so far. I love how original it is. And the use of copper to surround the head of the metal bolt is just awesome.

And I can really relate to some of the things you are thinking about. Like how good it is not to have everything planned 100% because then you can be creative and come up with new ideas. And how that makes you fear to do something that cannot be undone if it does not work.

Great build. great photos. Keep it up!

This is one of my favorite reads. It’s so far out of the box it makes me feel right at home. Are you from Remulac too? Even your English is entertaining. Can’t wait to see how you implement the host for all that copper.

Specter= scepter(?) on a long pole it would look cool or even a shorter kingly version could fit many 14500 or 14650 cells 3p like your nimhs. A pearl like ball at the bottom( or maybe a round trit). Curious to see what you come up with for the rest of it.

thank you to all. I am trying to progress but little bit busy lately. current focus is at, battery type and battery tube i will use, how to make and what finish to put on it and hot to put all back together. some random photos :

do you like it with BRAVO or just black! :stuck_out_tongue:

its interesting to see what big difference just the printing alone can do, to the overall perception and looks.

i have a problem with batteries too, if i go 18650 flash will look ok and elegant but not sure on performance, and if i go to AA it will be fat and not good looking….

right now my head is full of dilemmas again, i better clean it up soon or i think will not have enough time to finish it.
