Toc toc are you here ganzo?. Those knives perhaps is the only brand due its way to the present.
Sanrenmu only make small knives or some medium size (and then without system lock or with a relaxing tip).
Navy appers make only spyderco knives.
Enlan is more… classic, and they are not as crazy as ganzo… Yes they have some copies but with classical designs.
Harnds have a copy too, the nyx is a copy from kershaw but with some differences (the handle is the same) and have a big size one with the blazer.
Ganzo have for me all the tickets for doing that copies i wrote…

where do you guys get your knives from?
Personally I try FastTech first as their prices are cheaper, some have had problems with customer service and slow delivery times but I have had reasonable service from them. I reckon on three weeks to a month, only once have I had to open a PayPal dispute and that was resolved by FastTech to my satisfaction.
Exduct are Expensive but good service.
GreatWall Outdoor are excellent at customer service, very quick to answer email and let you know - order received, despatched etc. Remember to add $5 post and packing per knife to the price on the site.
Ebay.co.uk doesn’t allow knives to be dispatched to the U.K., that goes for all the countries that ebay has a presence in, no U.K. knife sales.
Amazon U.K. don’t allow knife listings, if they see them they stop them, but have been letting some through recently, usually expensive though.
I’ve had positive dealings with a few Chinese vendors, RunOnRock is good. has his own website.
Also Yinzongning has given good service as has ZHANGCHUNJING both sell on Amazon.com and I think ebay as well.
AliExpress are also very good. The Escrow system they use as well as guaranteed refund makes safe buying. They insist vendors make delivery within 45 days. Once you pay AliExpress they hold the money in escrow until they get confirmation from you that the item is as described, good condition, on time and you are happy with it before they release the payment to the vendor, too many complaints and the vendor is not allowed to sell on their site any more. They sell lots of cheap knock-offs as well as “production over-runs” most of it high quality. As long as you don’t expect that $25 Strider or Hinderer or Medford to be the real deal then you’ll be well pleased with the quality.
Vendors like it because it gives a portal to western markets.
Not sure how the IPO will affect what is allowed to be sold and to where, hopefully things will continue as is.
I’ve had good service from AliExpress but there must be some bad quality stuff on there, there’s a feedback system that works.
I forgot the cold steel recon clip point and tanto point. This model perfectly could be copied.
By the way, what about the tekut knives? i have one coming (the first tekut)

I’d like Navy to quit steeling other people intellectual property and design their own knives.
Reputable knife makers sell their own designs and make them from good or excellent blade steel. I would rather save up and own one original than a bunch of knock off knives with crappy blade steel. You may think they are good cutters, but until you use the real thing you will not know. There many good knives sold for reasonable prices, rationalizing the manufacturer and purchase of copies is rationalizing theft.

I agree to a point. The difference is, Navy makes knives in the $20 range while Spyderco makes knives in the $100-200 range. A knife doesn’t have to be made of some exotic super steel to do its job. This isn’t the 1980s, even relatively cheap steel like Sanrenmu, Navy and Enlan use is pretty good.
I paid $18 for my Navy K-631. It’s not a copy of any Spyderco model but obviously is inspired by Spyderco designs. It seems to me to be a mix between a G10 Police, Endura and maybe a G10 Cara Cara. You can’t say it’s a copy because it isn’t. It doesn’t try to fool anyone into thinking its a Spyderco or use the emblem. It borrows some design elements but what knife isn’t inspired by some other knife? There is only so much you can do with a blade and handle, every knife is inspired by other knives. For $18, nothing can beat it.
If you are talking about the hole in the blade, that’s another matter. Spyderco apparently patented the ‘hole’ somehow. Just because it can be patented doesn’t mean it’s right.
Navy copies mostly Spyderco knives right, the Spyderco that gets it’s budget line and the stainless steel “bugs” and Kiwi3 made in China.
The Spyderco that uses nasty plasticky feeling FRN for handles on it’s higher end knives.
I have no problem with Spyderco selling for whatever price they can, Sal Glesser is a great guy and posts on many forums helping people whenever he can.

I used to carry a Grasshopper as my EDC knife until I bought a better made SanRenMu H03, adjustable pivot and washers that can be maintained unlike the Grasshopper. SanRenMu H03 $6.58, Spyderco Grasshopper $35.21 both 8Cr12MoV steel
Navy recognise a niche in the market and fill it - that of having knives that look like Spyderco knives but are cheaper, and made in China - just like Spyderco do with the Ambitious, Persistence, Tenacious and Resilience.
Personally I don’t own a Navy knife but I’m looking at the fake Spydercos on AliExpress just to see how poorly they are made.
If you look on Ali you’ll see that a company is copying the Ontario RAT1.
Apparently it uses 9Cr18MoV steel and G10 handles.
There isn’t a huge difference in price between the copy and the original, but one variant of the copy may be slightly larger, 95mm versus 90.
But the international shipping is included in the price of the copy.
The original one with int. shipping would cost me ~ 70% more. That’s not a small difference.
The original RAT 1 is a good deal but only in the US…

I like the Navy K-610 at the moment, although the liner lock feels a little rough.
Not a big fan of big brand name knives, I prefer Sanrenmu, Enlan and Navy.
For some reason nothing that Ganzo makes appeals to me yet.
I think sanrenmu and enlan have the best quality/fit/finish of chinese brands. I have ganzo, enlan, sanrenmu, inron, harnds and incomming tekut. The problem with srm is they are too small in general, and the problem with enlan is their designs, they have very goods ones in EL series but… too much time without new models, and i saw in its page new models but i don¡t know where they are. There are only old models EL in fasttech, exduct… Enlan aren’t brave with the designs like ganzo, but i think ganzo has worst quality than enlan, even design problems in some models (G714 with its rotating pivot, G711 with lock up problems, G712 with both pivot screws locked… ). It seems that the chinese brands only have good designs if the copy it. I would like if the can do some different designs and making with high quality at low price as always.
I’m tired and tired of drop points… Spyderco alike designs, recurved blades like the CS vaquero, espartan… stiletto designs like de CS ti-lite, kukris, or simply clip points and tantos with a secure handle like de CS recon 1…

I don’t have this one aymore, it went to Utah, but the G-712 is really a nice knife to play with and the knife nut who got it likes it more than the much bigger original.

I like smaller EDC folder but i would dream of a ganzo with a better steel for a higher price. D2 or VG10 or even s35vn or elmax 
i would pay like 30-40 dollar for such a ganzo
