D4 seems interesting now since it accepts lifepo also. Might be a good reason to buy one, if it charges properly. Anyone a word about it yet? 
I use the crap out of my i4, so even if this is only slightly better I’ll probably buy it. Even if the sliders are smoother and can safely charge 10440’s that’s enough for me.
That is the usability view point. I am interested in the electronics, I wouldn’t like to buy a crap. Most of chargers around that have the same look were crappy in the first revision and became better a while later. I can live with crappy sliders if this chargers li-ion/-po/-fe and ni-mh a proper way they should be charged

It only chargers NiMH, not LiIon.
Nitecore handles both.
They've been raising prices of other items too.
i had opened a D4 thread too. my nitcore i4 served me really well, i don't use it anymore because i am interested in this upgrade!!
