WTS Thrunite TN32 $no longer for sale

I’ve got a nearly-new TN32 that I want to sell for $140 shipped in the US or trade for a Niwalker Minimax Nova + $50 on my end. I was wanting to trade for a TN35, but now I want to get a Nova. I need a floodier light way more than a super thrower, considering I don’t have more than 100 clear yards on my property. Like all the reviews say, it’s very impressive, but it’s just not best suited to my needs.

The only thing that is not original is the lanyard. I messed up the original trying to adjust it but I am including a quality replacement. It also has a pinhead size mark in the anodizing that may have been there, I just noticed it. It has never been dropped, banged into anything or near water.

Email is the best way to contact me. I prefer PayPal, but will also accept a USPS money order, and I will ship USPS Priority Mail within the US. I can send pictures on request to verify its condition, and I can provide my eBay ID to confirm my perfect feedback over several years of selling.

Why are you getting rid of it?

I want a floodier light, not a dedicated spot light. It’s cool, but it’s overkill on my property. I need something that will provide more side spill for walking dogs at night, etc.

Google Solarforce s2200, thank me later…

That looks like something I could use

Great light, but for walking dogs I’d think something a lot smaller and a lot floodier would probably be a good idea. Like, a cheap Convoy S2 or S3 or S4, simple 1x18650 tube light. Maybe even add some diffuser film to the lens to make the beam floodier and more even.

I was tempted to get a TN32, but it’s just sooooo big! If it won’t fit in my purse, I’m basically never going to leave home with it. Plus, a thrower like that is hard to use in a city without making people angry.

If you want MT-G2 light… I’ll trade your light with my Crelant 7G10 MT-G2 light… and I’ll throw in 3 18650 Samsung laptop pull batteries

Dude is there anything you don’t have?

lol… yeah… BTU is one of them

Theres always medium. Floodier? Like what? s2200 is going to be pretty hard to beat for flood, especially with an edc. Someone said the light will make you giggle. It does. Someone said if you dont have one, get one and you wont regret it. I dont. I also believe it was another person who said SF were the only ones to get the battery config right on MT-G2, I cant comment on that except the light works really really well (they may not be alone in that now too). 100 metres away, theres light, everywhere. Look 50 yards out and 50 feet to the left, theres light, oodles of it. Look 50 feet to the right, theres more oodles of light. Its like shinning a cars headlights across a small valley. But yes, not pocketable without a coat, and it would weight that side down a tad.

But the OP did say, he ( I assume a he) was willing to spend around $250 with batteries and chargers (my mistake, it appears Ive confused the thread with another, but he did say floodier, and $50 on top of $140. I assume he already has batteries and chargers). Seemed pointless to me to pick a budget EDC. They do come with a lanyard.

I havent seen the Thrunite MT-G2’s so I cant comment on them, but I know they are considerably dearer. At least the price of a decent budget EDC.

s2200 ($139) +about $10 for one of the quickest Chinese deliveries around, 6 of any of the 20R or 25R’s etc (theres a GB on the 20Rs, or was, will be, not sure which). A really good 2 or 4 bay charger . And still there will be change from $190. Enough to buy a decent EDC, maybe even an Olight with a coupon.

That and did I mention the s2200 is pretty?

So how come with deep reflector the S2200 is total flooder?

Stippled. And I have only briefly read about depth v width and effects on throw or flood, so Im really really far from confident but depth apparently does no mean throw. Its angles.

Or some such. Theres a thread about here somewhere, fairly recent too. Maybe the last month. Links to a website widely discussing it in depth (lol).

And I dont know that its total flooder, its just very floody. I say that because it throws light further than i thought it would, quite brightly. I light up roof tops easy 100 meters away. I would be able to see a rat crawl over the roof. I wouldnt know it was a rat, but Id see something moving theres that much light there. Might help that the roof top is silver/grey.

At a mates place, theres a paddock next door that traverses a dip and rise to the other side, and I light up the paddock to the treeline easily. And just about fill the entire paddock. Stock, running protected Panasonic 3400 18650Bs.

Sorry i have very little info about this flashlight, but we ruin this thread, its offtopic.

Can you pm with details about this light? output, review links and so on. Thanks alot for your good answers!

I’m not sure what the OP needs, but it sounds like a multi-18650 light is probably overkill for walking the dogs. The S2200, for example, is about 12X as much money and 9X as much weight as a simple tube light, and much harder to carry. But it might not offer much benefit for this purpose compared to something much smaller.

I find that 10 lumens is usually plenty for walking, and 200 is a good amount for biking… hard to imagine that 1000+ would be needed for walking dogs.

To be fair though, I carry a modded C8 while biking (in addition to my handlebar tube light), so I can see things far away. But the combination is still quite a bit less mass and volume and money than a S2200.

To clarify, I’m walking dogs in a very rural wooded area and I want EVERYTHING nearby lit up. I have an Eagletac G25C2 that’s ok, and this TN32 that gives me tunnel vision close up. Weight and size are irrelevant for my needs, as I have several EDC lights that I can use if that’s ever a concern.

Ah, okay. For that sort of thing, I generally use a soda-can style light… Skyray King, Supfire M6, etc. Still reasonably small (size and shape of a soda can), with thousands of floody lumens, and generally available for around $40 or so.

MTG2 will definitely light everything up around you.

I don’t have an mtg2 light to compare against my SRK but the SRK does light up a large area while still having a fair amount of throw. Definitely good for wooded areas.
