P60 Styled Sinner Custom Host - "BLFP60-SCH" -

how about a 3xAA (thick) or 2xAA (long) P60 host?

Pretty sure what Sinner is describing is a host only - no LED, no driver, but everything else including a copper P60 pill. That sounds perfect to me. If anyone wants a complete built-up light to their specs, you need to go through a modder preferably in your own country I guess to save on shipping. I'd be willing to take a couple on and try to keep costs down. I'm assuming it's a 18650 cell size host, but we'll find out more. If you do want soemone esle to build it up, best to have it directly shipped to the modder from Sinner, again, to save some on shipping.

Shipping will be only a few bucks , ships from US. International however will be $10 or so.

Thanks everyone for participating i will do a final count shortly to see how many have been spoken for, I am overwhelmed with the amount of trust people have put into this simple idea of mine , sight unseen , hats off to the gentlemen for your support I have no doubts that these are the driving force of the hobby. I will make sure to justify and make one awesome custom host that is the very definition of the budget light forums concept.

Interested in one, if the design includes MRsDNF's idea of threading the pill into the reflector as well as into the body. And if the host can be obtained together with extra pills (for me brass would do the job fine btw, easier to mill :-) ), it will be a great system: using custom pill drop-ins for high performance mods, and the standard ones fit too :-)

I’ll see what I can do. Thank you djozz.

I'm not sure threading is needed. obviously improving thermal transfer can be done in a few different ways. Whatever you come up with I'm sure will probably take into account to some degree. I'd be interested in extra pills btw... You may want to consider selling extra pills, even if they will not fit standard P60 bodies.

Sinner,

After reading the thread my only further suggestion is to make the host w/ plenty of aluminum and finning for heat sinking “hot” drop-ins. Perhaps a host weight of 150 - 175 grams.

Eehhm, well, I will not ask for copper (hard to machine), but say you would make this to be designed ultimate p60 host also in brass (heavy), would it still be a budget light?

The two lights on the left are Sinner’s, the small one on the right is my Texas Poker.

Should be obvious that Sinner is doing a fantastic job…

Very interesting

Any update on this project?

I love anything p60 so I would likely be in depending on size and what it looks like.

Count me in please. I would like you to consider making the host offering with a shorty or 18350 version and a screw on pocket clip. That would be cool. Anodized or nickel plated as an upgrade option maybe.

Hello!! New Guy Here, would like to get into one of these too? Sinner I think your work is outstanding!!

Just bumping this up. I myself, and probably a few others here, was wondering where this project is at. Sorry in advance if I come up as impatient, it’s just that, with such a setup, I do have some ideas of what I want to make with it. :~

The first prototype host will be posted shortly. I machined the whole thing a week ago just too busy with life happenings lately.Yet to assemble and sort the kinks out for the final release.

I would be interested in 1-2 units. Looking forward to seeing your pics and what you decide to do w battery/battery size…

Still coveting one of your other custom hosts as well.

I almost snorted my coffee.

Looking forward to seeing this one take off.

Been impressing folks on a 1600 mile drive with the Sinner Ti and Cypreus lights. Neat watching peoples eyes when I pull out the flamed Ti light.

I’d be in for a couple of these too, if they’re not all reserved already.
