I got my lights today, everything went perfect. Thanks for the great offer!

I got my lights today.

Tested one and works just fine. Can´t find anything specific to be wrong in it. Some features I like more, some less.

Overall, a real good buy. Price / quality is very high.

Sufficient packing, shipping fast enough.

I´ve had one running for one full Eneloop now.

Takes 0,91A at most, some 0,03A in lowest I can get. Emitter centered, not too bluish tint. Gets only slightly warm when kept on high (low amperage, I bet it won´t fry itself ever).

Fine order experience and shipping time. Got boxes and straps for both. As for the lights, both work but there classic stock variation in effect. One light had a nick in the finish and the bottom lettering was not completely colored on the cap, but no problem. On the second, the driver on lacks the ultrafire and positive end markings on it if looking in the tube. The tail cap itself also rattles if you shake it around on the second, but again light functions as stated.

All in all, working lights (with standard OSO) as anticipated.

i got mine 2 days ago in a nice Ultrafire box having magnetic cover. Flashlight is awesome and thanks for your contributions Summer.

I am glad that members who have got the headlamps are all satisfied with the items, thanks for your support to us.

My two turned up all the way down here in New Zealand. I must say that I am very happy with them and they both work on 14500 and AA, no real difference in light output, but it is nice to have the option. It is also nice to have flooders in headlamps as I am normally after throwers for hunting etc, but these will be great for when walking back to camp after dark or even handing around camp cooking tea or even reading a book. The variable output could be slowed down, but once you get to know the timing it is ok and after a dozen practices or so I think I have the nack of it now.

This was my second purchase from Dino Direct and both went very well with no issues and delivery is within accepted timeframes. I note some of the things said here about DD, but so far I have not experience anything but good service.

Thanks to Semur/Summer and those that helped organise this. I hope that we may see more of this type of thing here on BLF.

II'z

Got my 2. Must say packing was good, delivery time was as good as any of the dealers, product is well made.

2 minor issues.

SOS mode is backward and does OSO. Not a problem as I have no intention of ever using it or needing it anyway, just an observation.

I tend to tighten all the parts down after I lube threads etc on any new light i get. On these DON'T. The tailcap ring works loose as you screw the cap on and off and when I noticed that I immediately took a pair of split ring pliers and tightened it down so it wouldn't unscrew as I removed the tailcap. My light quit working, I unscrewed the ring and redid it finger tight, and while it does have to be re-tightened every so often, it has worked fine since.

Overall, I'm well pleased. The only problem was my own fault so cant complain.

thanks for the members good review and feedback on this item. So you may know we are not as bad as some other ones said. If you do have your own experience in our store by yourself, then you will have your own right to evaluate on us.

Thanks

You keep chirping in like you have mended things and have a new reputation. You sold us a light that you KNEW was defective and didn't tell us beforehand. At least let us know so we can make an informed decision. And then you are somehow not accountable? I had my first experience with you, and evaluated you, and will not purchase again from you. Others seem to be quite pleased. You can dupe some some of the time, all some of the time but not all all of the time. Good ole Abe...

Well, I got a registered package from DinoDirect that contains the $1 wash mitt I ordered with the light, but not the light. The order form says that the light part of the order hasn't shipped yet, so hopefully it will soon, but I supposed the mitt was shipped quite securely...:D

Was there a problem w/ yours other than OSO istead of SOS noted above? I think everyone else has the same thing, and frankly it seems kind of minor since I don't think the search party will ignore you due to a technically.

Ordered 7/20, received 8/8.

I like it. Looks nice, feels nice, small, bright.

Joel

While I agree it is minor, I do think if they knew going into the deal that they had this defect and could offer them at basically half-price because of it, it would have been the right thing to do to say so up front. I would have gladly bought the 2 I did even knowing that at the price they were offered. I guess it comes down to did DinoDirect know before they made the offer that the light had this defect and hid it or did they order them after making the offer and didn't QC them? Either way it does suggest their is still a deficit in the business model.

You can ask folks who got the same model before, but I think it's just a defect of the light straight up from the factory. It's not really the kind of thing that people test specifically for (ie. turns on? good to go). It's also not really a "defect" in the same way that bad HA is a defect, since it's programming inherent to the product. For example, I have on the order of 100 lights, the majority of which probably have "SOS" mode, but I have no idea how many of them do it properly. It's been claimed by the few people don't hate blinking modes outright AND care about such things that most chinese lights actually do "SOSOSO...". And it's not because they do this that they're sold for cheap, but rather because nobody cared enough to bother changing it. Much more important IMO are issues like parasitic current, heatsinking, PWM freq, not all of which people who did careful reviews of this exact light the point of which is to find these out found them out.

I also did get a PM that mine was already sent out w/ tracking.

sounds like you are in cahoots with DD. I'm a noob at this. I ordered a light that was advertised as having an SOS mode, and that mode was defective, and I believe they knew about it before selling it. It doesn't matter to me how well the rest of the light functions or what parts it has in it (I'm a noob). Sure the light works fine apart from that defect but that isn't the issue. I also purchased a 2nd one to send as a gift. The issue is plain and simple: DECEPTION Are there any other places to buy my future lights? Probably.

Got my two lights last friday, they both came without boxes but packaging was good and no damage on the lights.
Also received some kind of chinese knot lanyard which I have no use for but it was a nice gesture.
Was really surprised how tiny the lights were in reality but I really like them. Tested both AA and with 14500 batteries and when comparing them against each other the 14500 is noticeable brighter.
Also did some current measuring and could confirm it is a bit harder driven with the Lion.
Really not much more to add that hasn't already been said so I just want to thank agenthex and Dinodirect for the nice deal :)

I thought I had read the entire flashlight-wiki at least a dozen times, but I totally missed the part on AVR_DRIVERS

http://flashlight-wiki.com/AVR_Drivers

Is the driver in this thing really programmable? Are there hardware for USB adapter and clip prohibitive?

WTF, I just pointed out that if this is a concern to you, then you should probably avoid buying any chinese lights because they pretty much never do SOS properly. If you want to blame someone, blame all the reviewers on this site for not pointing this out (or rather not giving a damn) when they carefully examined every aspect of this light.

Yes, and all the previous great reviews on it including by the admin of this site were all bribed by UF. Recall this is during a promo for another vendor who offered it for a higher price and quite limited availability. If you're going to make that accusation, then please do it in the open so we can all point and laugh.
