Official specifications:

  • Capacity: 2700mAh
  • Battery size: AA
  • Voltage: 1.2V
  • Dimensions: 14.4mm (Diameter) x 50.0mm (Height)

This is high capacity AA rechargeable batteries, but the rating is on the optimistic side.

The two cells has very good tracking and do also handle high current fairly well.

Conclusion

It looks like good batteries with high capacity, but the difference from 2500mAH rated batteries up to these is not very large.

Compare to other AA/AAA batteries: Alkaline/NiMH/Lithium

Wow…powerhouse little AA batteries!

Awesome review as always, love those really flat discharge lines at or below 3A, pushing em above that and they seem to strain a little bit

Thanks again HKJ! Noone does it better

They almost match with Eneloop 2450mAh discharge curve (used the comparator)
I've had a dozen (12) of them and absolutely all of them broke in about 6 month, maybe it was a bad batch.

Thanks for the review HKJ, nice to see that these perform so well, they are a fair bit cheaper than Eneloops.

Is this the standard Nimh type which has a high self discharge or is it a compromise like the eneloop pro?

Standard NiMH, no LSD here.

Or a bad charger. I think LOTS of the problems that people have had with non-LSD batteries were due to the horrible, timer based and constant trickle charging chargers that were generally available before LSD batteries became common.

On the other hand, although I’ve had good luck with these batteries, these days, the Duracell Ion Cores seem to equal these batteries in terms of actual capacity and better them in terms of price and availability. They also have some availability, and are believed to possibly be rebadged Eneloop XX.

Still a lot of horrible timer based chargers being sold.

i use these in my Nissin flash, pretty good
