average, not a hair more

This thread lives!

Voted good enough.

The prices are good and the quality of the lights I bought was good for the price level.

Shipping was slow, and then slower... Living in Italy I'm used to long shipping times, averaging one month, usually due to custom paperworks, but the last time after two months nothing was arrived yet.

When I contacted the service they were nice and helpful, after a few days they found the package still stuck somewhere in the China postal service, got it back and re-sent it through Singapore post, and in less than two weeks I had the items in my hands. Checked the postal labels and really under the Singapore ones there were the previous China post labels, so the story was truth.

My only suggestion is to ask for Singapore post shipping, because that seems to make the difference!

In former times I ordered a lot from them and was very pleased but in the last year it’s bad, very long packing time long shipping time, long time for replying a RMA.
But they refund everything which is DOA…on the other side this causes high shop prices…

Also I haven’t seen a good deal from DX posted on this forum for a long time.

The last two promotions were awful, so I voted awful.

Some times it is very slow, but my last orders shipped less than one week, and received about 20 days.
It has huge item list, so convenient to purchase 3-4 items and once with registered mail.

I have purchased several types of P60 drop in modules from DX and not one has tested to be what they described it as. Either the output current or the Lumens has proven to be other than advertised. I no longer buy from DX as they have never delivered to me the product ordered. Not one has been correct. Add Alibaba to that list of stinkers also.

I’ve bought a few items from them, no worse shipping time than other Chinese vendors and prices are good so I voted good enough.
I’d certainly have no qualms about buying from them again if there was an item that I wanted and the price was reasonablr.

Good selection. Everything I ordered from DX eventually arrived. I’ve probably purchased close to 10 orders from them over the last few years.

Shipping to CA took anywhere between 3-8 weeks.

I’d buy from them again. Recommended.

No issues ordering from DX. Although slow (snail pace) it does reach you after a while. Prices are usually cheapest around but just like other Chinese sellers, descriptions of items can be ultra-short.

I stopped ordering from DX for about a year at about the beginning of 2012. I figured they were slow to respond and not very efficient.

However, my last 7 orders from them (this year) were all shipped within 4 days of placing my order and arrived at my doorstep ALL within 7 days or less! Four of my orders actually reached me within 3 days of shipping

Everything was in order with no hassle. On one occasion DX were out of stock on one of my items so they quickly shipped out the available items and 2 days later shipped out the remaining one - both with tracking number even though it was a small order. Their prices are a little higher than BG and FT but I don’t mind paying a little extra for the added peace of mind.

So far so good, as they say, and meanwhile I’ve another order on the way. Shipped out on the 12 June and hopefully it reaches me within the next 2-3 days

Oh yes… I forgot to mention. DX has been using their own courier (not Sing Com-post !) of late and they are far more efficient.
… and they deliver on Saturdays too

I have only ordered from them twice.

My first order back in February 2013 arrived after 6 weeks in transit.

However I ordered from them May this year and my package arrived just 12 days after ordering! For the chinese
slow boat to Aus this is the fastest shipment I’ve had. It is a welcome change not having to wait over 4 weeks for once

I voted for awful as I am still waiting for my Skyray 6xXML2 that I ordered on 15th March

Every time I take a ticket or complain they just keep saying “Wait two more weeks”

3 months is way too long to deliver a torch (annoyingly the batteries I ordered at the same time came long ago)

Pay with PP, never wait more than the 45 days PP allocate for disputes (43 is enough). You COULD be waiting for ever after 90 days. FT will likely do the right thing in the end but I wouldnt be trusting anyone like that.

I paid with credit card, this “2 week longer” is the last one before I go to card provider to look at getting money back
Not going to hold my breath for it though.

My biggest gripe with DX is that they are slow, very slow, too slow. How ANY vendor can be so complacent on shipping times is way beyond me. Amazon, NewEgg and others usually ship the same day and are trying to figure out ways to get it in the hands of their customers even sooner. In all areas, the Chinese vendors and manufacturers are only able to provide a poor imitation of what is really required. For those reasons, I am just about done with ALL of them. No more long shipping times and junky ripoff stuff for me.
With clones of clones popping up, NOTHING and NO ONE can be trusted. What we need is more of vendors like Mountain Electronics that actually stock inventory and hold their suppliers to a standard that their customers demand.

OTH, my last 2 orders from DX were of good quality. One order, from DX-US, I received in 10 days. The other, from DX China, took too long. Quality wise and price wise I was very pleased, but I only considered myself VERY fortunate.

Lately they have been awfull, shipping times from more than a month, delivering the wrong item, and then reship takes more than 2 months!

Shipping about 3 weeks was okay enoug, when i knew i needed something, just buy early enough.
But more than 3 months is bad, and had to buy the item locally. They dont want to refund.
Its a pitty, because i know it can be done right. Dealt with some chinese ebayer a few times, and had my items delivered within 7 days every time! (Standard shiping, no ems or whatsoever)
Bought once on sunday evening, got it in the mail next saturday!

Dx is what it is, they are the first to have new cheap flashlights and many of them. Descriptions are always wrong, but they not necessarily make them better than the item actually is, they just don't know. But from the pictures I usually can make out what I am buying. Orders always arrive, sometimes pretty fast, sometimes really slow. I check their new flashlights regularly and sometimes order from them but not as often as from Fasttech.

dx takes forever.

I like that they let adverts stay so you can search old items.
Ten days to ship on my current order,so yes they are slow. Single Olight flashlight.
