Are there any stylet folder knife like the ganzo g707 from another budget chinese high quality brand?

Keeping it budget probably the Sanrenmu 738 has a bit of stiletto feel to it

Or the Navy k-508

Or, if you’re willing to spend a little more…

I think there isn’t any stiletto knife budget, only the ganzo g707. Somebody has it?, how is the strength of the lock, bladeplay and the dangerousness of the button (if it possible it can fire with the knife in the pocket…). Sadly it hasn’t botton lock. And i think it can have more QC problems than actual ganzo models (g716, g717…) because the g707 has some years yet.

Also these sellers have some… But i wouldn’t bet on quality…

If you’re looking For a SRM, Ganzo, Enlan, Navy i think the Ganzo is the only stiletto

And… Somebody has the ganzo g707?, what about bladeplay and security about the automatic button and so?
Really i like the don protech and the ganzo is cheaper.

Oh I'm sorry, I totally forgot to post. You have to push the button completly to open it (the button must be pushed deeper in the handle). It is really save in your pocket, if you haven't something small and stabel in the same pocket (like keys), which could push the button really deep in.
Has it bladeplay? Only a little bit - really a little bit (you can't hear or see it, but feel it, if you try to move the blade with the fingers). Maybe it will get more, if you have opened it a lot of times.
Total quality: 7,5 of 10, but it looks really cool in the hand (I dislike the wood part, but this a generell opinion - I like G10 or micarta more).

Here is a size comparison: RealSteel T3000, Navy K631, Ganzo G717, Ganzo G707.

Maybe I will write a short review about it but at the moment I'm really busy and have to write other reviews in the next 2-3 weeks. Perhaps I will write it in German and will not transkate it into English (you can use google translate for it).

Thanks. It seems to be not as good like the real pro tech. I like the design but the lock system does not seem very strong and you say have bladeplay.
I just seen a video of a guy in a car with the navy k631 that lose the sharpness very very fast. I do not trust in navy, and i do not have any navy.
Ok for the review, my german is worst than my english but my english worst than my spanish

Y’know, I forget that I can be lucky to live somewhere that I can have almost anything I want……

Hell, Texas just the other month decriminalized switch blades/OTF knives….and I’ve been carrying assist-open kershaw and CRKT’s since I was a young teenager.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to put on a pair of denim overalls, sip some whiskey, and whistle dixie while I polish my pretties firearms.

There’s always the good old CRKT M16 series, but if you want fast and sharp there’s the CRKT Heiho.

Here in Spain automatic knives are totally illegal. You can not have one even in your home. And you can not have more than 11 cm blade on a folder knife. No double edges etc. And even with a victorinox you can have problems if the policeman think it.

I have one. The quality is low. The lock fails in very low pressure ~2kg or something like that.

My lock works good and the blade play is really minimal. Was you lock bad out of the box or after you use it for a longer time?

I recall G707 has some issue of the blade not being perfectly straight. Maybe with a US buying agent you can import a Cold Steel Ti-Lite?

The ti-lite in a shop in my country is:
Tilite 4”. 72€
Tilite 4” aluminium 122€
Tilite 6” 92€
Tilite 6” aluminium 142€
.
.

Ganzo g707 about 12€

They are not comparable.

And if you tighten the pivot screws the blade play still is alive?

This is why I suggested using a buying agent.

I’ve found that many knives that have wobble, off center blades or poor deployment can be fixed by disassembling the entire knife, G10 grips and all, and cleaning everything with alcohol.
By removing factory grit and shavings and applying fresh lube, the knife can be radically improved.

Out the box. The c-cut on the blade where the button should enter wasn’t made at the right place.

All in all, the CRKT M16 is a great knife. I have several in different sizes. I was only buying high end knives, and picked up one of these on a whim. Slim, pocketable and razor sharp. Like I mentioned above, I clean off the factory grime and add fresh lube to improve speed and centering.

@Ouchyfoot:
What do you use for lubricate the parts? I don't have Ballistol. What about WD40?

@Xatu:
Will try this in 12 hours (it's sleeping time - you have the same timezone).

WD40 is not a lubricant. W=water D=dispersal. It’s basically the same stuff used to spray on car distributer and wires when they’re wet.
I used to use Benchmade “BlueLube”, but now I only use Finish Line ” Extreme Fluoro” pure fluorinated grease. Fluorinated grease is what Chris Reeves uses on his sebenzas.
It’s not expensive, and one tube will last forever. You can find it on eBay or Amazon, but the main retail source is high end bicycle shops. This is the best stuff I have ever used on my knives, and being grease-like, it doesn’t dispipate like oil.
