My entry to the scratch built contest.

Nice build, can’t wait for the finished product.

complex? not really  some of the others seem more complex to me.

closest I have to a beam shot are the videos in the third post I think…

once I get everything connected I’ll see if I can take a beam shot…

thanks

okay, warm white tube all wired and ready to connect, finishing the cool white tube tonight. more stuff goes in this one. so more to do  pondering how I want to attach them together. for now I might use zipties… as the hose clamps I wanted to use are too short… gotta get 2 small ones to make em just a bit longer
then may have to lengthen the power wire as well… eventually I might use a hobby lipo pack. but for now. external 4500mah 12 volt gel cell

They make super long zip ties for hvac ducting.

I was gonna suggest those HVAC zip ties, you can get a bag of 10 for <$2 at harbor freight.

next time I’m at harbor freight I’ll get some.

posted finished videos and some photos… its more a flooder than thrower… so its good for lighting up a close area… not really long distances…

Its my browser foult or videos cant display they show “private ” apart from that nice work

try again. I didnt have them set to the right permissions

Yay, it works!

yup. its not as good as your light  but it works… I should have bought a 100 watt led and a driver… maybe I’ll make another one with a 100 watt led and driver in it…

this one is good for ceiling bounce during a power outage.

Nice videos. Love the looks of the light in the second video! Well done!

thanks sir

Well done firehopper. I hope you dont. Nice effort on the finish and thanks for the vids. I hope your light never has to get used in an emergency.

thank you  i hope not too. but I know the power grid in this area. a good thunderstorm/windstorm and its almost 100% likely to fail. sometimes for as much as a week… :frowning:

bump :>

Sweetness. I haven't been here for long time. Love the active cooling solution. I haven't read all your posts, so please excuse me if you already covered this question. Have you thought about cutting/grinding the corners off the fans and putting them in the tubes?

I did, but maybe thats an improvement for later.
