EDCGEAR carabiner tools, mini prybars, keyring gadgets, etc.

I decided to remove the “double screwdriver” part for achieving a better grip:

Browsing Simon’s store, he has some titanium stuff now including this Titaner pry bar (not sure if smooth or has grooves like in some pics):

And these stainless steel whistles:

Oh the EDCGear bar has the jumping cat now:

Fixed that for ya! ;)

I’ll see your jumping cat and raise it one cat riding an invisible bike.

Really like that Titaner pry bar but I must refrain.
I’ve been buying some Laix “Tactical” pens, really quite good.

They seem to take Parker refills but I’ve had some that were too tight to fit by 0.2mm. Drilled out to fit.
These two are my favourite. One with a cap and one propelling.
I bought the B1 as well but the top is a bit too sharp, luckily there was someone on Amazon U.K. selling just the tips from the B2 which is interchangeable with the B1 and is a lot less savage.

Spyderco could take a few lessons on slip joint manufacture from RoughRider, and pricing info as well.
Couldn’t resist this one-

Blade Length (mm): 162 Product Weight (g): 487g

I wonder if this is legit, I found EDCgear stuff on DX.

http://eud.dx.com/product/edcgear-multifunctional-stainless-steel-carabiner-silver-844301482#.U6Xmnfl_s4k

I bought one and it is etched with the EDCGear name it’s anybody’s guess whether it is genuine.
It is reasonably well made and as long as you know it is not for climbing then it should serve you well, I’d like another to test the pulley’s multiplier strength but not so much as to spend another $9 to find out.
Fair to good value, great for hanging stuff up but $0.05 of 550 paracord would do that just as well.

My growing EDC Gear collection:

I’ve got a couple of the one on the right, the vendor I bought from only sold them in pairs. I’ve got two County Comm pry bars, the widgy bars, the pocket and the micro. so 2 out of 4 ain’t bad.

Specially for Chloe for after washing up.
Cat tea towel holder.

My cat was very relieved when I bought this, she was starting to hate dish washing time. :open_mouth:

They do one for dog lovers as well.

After seeing that picture and reading Dog lovers, my first thought was something else than a towel holder.

What’s the hole in the back good for?
Gear best list it as “screwdriver and rope hang place”. How can this be used as screwdriver.

OOOOO, that would leave a mark!!

I’ve been looking through the CRKT online catalogue, there’s a couple of nice slipjoints coming up, but what really caught my eye was this Hook and Loop (Velcro) Tool. Designed by Trip Felton
CRKT Hook and Loop Tool and rest of catalogue!

Damn good idea that, Velcro seems to store fallen hair and various other things, mud etc., after a while it becomes difficult for the Velcro to “stick” together. I’ve been using a small screwdriver to clean the hooks and loops but this tool is made for the job.
No idea of release date but I’ll be looking.
MRSP of $29.95 so less than that online probably.

I don’t know if it’s been posted anywhere else on the forum but it seems like it fits here.
FastTech are stocking the NITE IZE KLK-11-R3 Stainless Steel Keychain w/ 6 S-Biners $7.84, not a bad price for what is pretty much a complete keyring. Looks like the S-Biners lock closed as well, I’ve not taken much notice of Nite Ize products before but this looks good for the price.

I was gifted one of these a few weeks ago and replaced my regular not-for-climbing key carabiner with it, its allright, I’ll keep using it cause it was a gift but not cause it outperforms a regular one or anything

I have my key ring hooked threw the hex drive part cause it always got twisted around otherwise.

I saw these nail clippers at Banggood (2.21 USD). They remind me of some that DX used to sell.

They also had some cheap Gerber Shards (3.18 USD each, choice of black or silver).

Has anyone got a picture of a key on this? I was wondering if you could practically put more than one key on each clip.

From an Amazon listing -

Another one:

Price $3,27 on fasttech. I think yo should replace the golden key with a own key (if it fits).

DX have some things maybe of interest:

Oumily pry bar/bottle opener tool, also available in black:

EDCGear pry bar. (Redesign, or a new “ice cream spatula” kind?)

HX Outdoors pivoting magnetic keyring light:

Munkees keyring light, also available in silver (4xLR41):

Just when I’d convinced myself that I didn’t need another pry-bar.
