King Kong ICR 26650 Button Top

I’m needing 3 KK ICR26650’s unprotected button top’s, but it looks like all battery international shipping has come to a halt. Does anyone have some unused ones or know of where I can get my hands on some. I’d rather not gamble on using fasttech or banggoods until I know they won’t end up in Antarctica!

doesn't RMM carry them?

Yea they do, but I remember reading a while back about how RMM was shipping batteries labeled Evva and had mismatched mAh ratings (4500 when they were really 4000 or something like that) I’ll see if I can’t dig up the thread…

Hey man, I just bought 3 of those Evva batteries you are talking about 2 days ago. When I get them, I will do capacity tests. So it should be over 4500 if I drain them at .5A?
I HOPE YOU ARE MISTAKEN ABOUT THAT MISMATCHED MAH RATINGS!!!
but really, if you are able to find that thread it would help out. thanks!

4500 & 4000 at a low discharge rate would definitely be a bad match. A link describing the situation would be good.

HKJ's tests of the ICR chemistry cells showed different voltage sag but same capacity. His tests of the INR chemistry KK cells showed big differences in capacity at high discharge rates. All of RMM's cells should be ICR, I think everyone tries to stay away from the KK INR cells.

Thats the thread I was talking about. Call it OCD, but having a battery with someone elses wraper and an incorrect mAh rating when I know I want a King Kong would pester me a bit.

Although if I cant get these batteries anywhere else (in the world as it seems with these crazy shipping bans) I may not have any other choice

They are still the same King Kong battery underneath the Evva wrapper. They actually test closer to 4300 mah.

The wrapper is only holding the button top in place on the unprotected cells. Peel it off replace it with clear if you like the gold look better. You should have no problem getting shrink wrap shipped to you.

Yes, wrapping cells with a different name is standard practice. AW, keeppower, Orbitronic, etc all do that with all their cells. It’s nothing to worry about, but we must be told the real cell under the label.

Alright. Thanks for the help guys! Ill be ordering some tonight… and a magic marker to write a big gold “KK” on the side of them hahah!

Just got in 3 of those exact EVVA's yesterday. Got them charged. I tested one of RMM's EVVA's before at 4500, not sure if button top or not though - think it was protected...

Iirc, they were ever only sold as 4000 mAh, so if you're worried about getting what you paid for from him, I wouldn't worry about that.

Just put my order in. I like that he lets you buy one at a time. All of the Chinese ones required that you buy two at a time (my light only needs 3). Great prices too, especially considering he is US based. Definitely will buy from him again.

wow. we should do group buy for batteries from fasttech when it opens up. The bulk discounts are crazy!

How come people avoid INR from kingkong?

EDIT:
NVM I see why.

INR calculated internal resistance is 0.08 ohm while the ICR is 0.05. It's that simple to me - no brainer.

batteries came, Tested capacity at <1A with imaxB6

4434mAh

4.2V -> 3V

Nice! Mine are on the way so I’ll test them out when they get to me as well. Not too bad considering you’re paying for 4000mAh and you get closer to 4500mAh.

I’d buy that for a dollar!
