Nitecore SRT7s for only 25 bucks ?

If I didn’t already order 2 flashlights (which I haven’t received yet, gg China post), I would take this gamble. That light is really nice…

Deal over! I chose not to buy. There’s an old saying - “If it’s too good to be true you’re gonna eat shit”.

Yeah, probably it is scam but why scammer would have stopped listing after 40 sold units? Who knows…

It’s sold out !! Good luck guys whom dare to gamble on this and hope you get your flashlights

The only risk there is is to immobilize 25USD for 45 days right? If it is a scam you’ll get it back with paypal.

EXACTLY

Guys who ordered let us scarridy cats know how it goes with the order mmmkay?

This might attribute to the increase in PP fees.

I have ordered hundreds of items of ebay and only had to resort to a paypal claim twice. Many of those deals the price seemed way to good to be true but they have always arrived, this may well be a scam but there’s only one way to find out. I will report back when i get my item or the 45 days is up.

On the other hand, if it is a scam, I don’t see the point for the scamer, as most of the buyers will place a Paypal claim.
Maybe he did a mistake in the price and when he realized it he removed the item from sale?

Gamble? I don't see how unless someone is actually winning. Who here has actually won that "gamble" from a seller like this?

We didn’t warned you not to to buy the light, it’s not because we’re jealous. It’s because it happened to us before and we didn’t want you to be in the same spot.
It’s very easy for newbies to get tempted to buy high power light at a price that’s a steal, they want it so badly that they forgo their common sense.
But I guess, some people need to learn from the experience themselves :expressionless:
Others who smart enough will definitely stay away from these kind of sale
The seller will send you a fake tracking # with the slowest shipping method, just to assure you the package is being sent, it could be a small trinkets or junk but it will have tracking #

They’re betting that if these people are not smart enough to realize the price is too good to be true, then their not smart enough to file with paypal within 45 days, btw filing with paypal is not as simple as writing e-mails to them.

Unlike Aliexpress/Alibaba which they hold the payment until the customer happy with their purchase and then they will release the payment to the seller.
I don’t think Ebay payment works like that, so it’s easier for the seller to close their account and reopen another one later with fake names.
By the time Ebay/paypal freeze their bank account, they already left with the money that the suckers pour it in their bank account

Although I’ve been lucky once ( some others too at BLF ) that some reputable seller on ebay misprint their price and I was able to buy 3 skyray triple LEDs for $7
The difference is…this seller is legit and have been selling flashlights for years and when they found the mistakes, they honored it anyway… now that’s a reputable seller ( extremely very rare)
Before you buy anything that you know the price is not doable for any reputable seller will offer, check the background on the seller
how long has he/she been selling on Ebay? ( most of them are usually open their account less than a year )
and check the feedbacks… does the feedback says they sell a lot of flashlights?
If not… it should raise the red flag, but if you’re one of those knuckle headed guy who likes extra drama in your life by all means go for it, more power to you :stuck_out_tongue:

Those that ordered this too-good-to-be-true item will probably receive a coin or a small trinket instead of a flashlight. Then, eBay and Paypal will want to you to return the trinket (with tracking) to the seller before they will entertain the idea of a refund. As the cost to send it back will probably exceed $25, most will just swallow the loss and be done with it. Those that do send the trinket back will find that the address for the seller is undeliverable, resulting in a huge mess of time and effort over the lost $25...

Yup - if it's too good to be true, it is.

Good to luck all that bought. Hope it works out. Do let us know...

This. Unfortunately, some have to learn this lesson from experience.

For those that order it, don’t forget to make video, start from open the package.
In case seller send not as described item, that will help you when file a claim with paypal.

Sometimes it’s possible to get a legit deal like this, once in a great while.

I got my SRT3 on sale at rakuten.com for $47 but not only was it deeply discounted, but it was a holiday and rakuten gave me about $15 cash back, which brought the light close to $30. At the time all the sellers had it for $89-$129.

The other day I got a bluetooth headset from rakuten. It was refurbished and marked down to $10 with free shipping, and I had $8 in cash back points so I got a $50 head set delivered for $2.

There was a thread a few months ago where there was genuine pricing errors and the seller went through with the sold items. It wasn't a $100 light listed at $25, but it was a bunch of ~$10-40 lights listed at $3-10 each.

Big difference between that and this is the fact that the seller has a lot of positive feedback from relatively cheap items and all of the sudden a $100 flashlight is listed at $25.

"Cashing in feedback".

I'd like to know where they're getting SRT7s for that price and then being able to turn around and sell them for $25. Sign me up!

Let us all know how it goes then and if you receive it. :stuck_out_tongue:
