Could you sell me all the components necessary to build the triple s3?
Time to borrow from the digital cameras, and add “face detection” and “red eye” feature to flashlights?
If the lens is pointed at a human face, give a preliminary couple of low level flickers so the pupils contract before full power ….
Or borrow from the laser labs, and provide a stencil that prints on the forehead in mirror-lettering

By the time I put in all of the work reflowing, sanding, drilling, adding chips etc. the labor is already almost done, so in my mind it doesn't make sense to sell it in kit form.
If you want to buy the parts to do it yourself, here's what you need:
- S3 Host
- 17mm Driver (your choice)
- Triple Noctigon LEDs (your choice of tint)
- Noctigon 3XP Bare MCPCB (to sand mask off and reflow)
- Carclo 20mm Optic (your choice)
- Copper Braid
- Thermal Paste (do not glue MCPCB to pill!)
- Patience

I see your now out of the S3, I am partially to blame…
With your spacers, are the S2 or S6 able to use the Tripple? I forgot to take notes if someone looking for another host.

Yes they are. Those spacers are specifically made for the S2 and S3 so that others could build their own triples without needing to be a machinist! The only work besides soldering that needs to be done is to drill a hole in the middle of the S2/S6 pill for the wires to pass through, which is an easy task considering it is thin brass.

As am I! Per USPS tracking mine is due for delivery tomorrow. Only one though so I do not consider myself greedy. :bigsmile: M6s though are another matter. They look to me more like BEER CANS than soup cans. 
S3 arrived yesterday. Even the narrowest beam per the listing, the one Richard calls the closest to a regular reflector type beam, is very floody with a gradual transition from hot spot to surrounding corona. A good beam for many close-in to 50 or 100 foot distance uses in my opinion. Max output and how fast it heats up at max are both impressive. Quite a nice little light to slip into a pants pocket. Running mine with one of Richard’s LG 3000 mAh button top batteries.

Above is the link to Richards web site listing for the S3 which includes three customer reviews of the light. Mine has the 10511 lens, the 5.8 amp driver level and the 4 output level user interface. I think that Richard needs to get some additional photos posted of it including a frontal shot of the leds and lens assemblies. With the reflectorless construction the light is shorter overall than similar single LED and reflector designs with an overall length of 115 mm. My similar single 18650 cell SS light from CustomLites with reflector is 127mm long and while the S3 with battery is 124 grams the SS one is 211 grams. Quite a difference which reflects the different weights of aluminum and stainless steel. Both are exactly the same diameter, 23.96 mm per my digital caliper measurement.
I get the impression that lack of reviews or lack of demand isn’t really an issue here… The triple S3 sells out pretty quickly. The difficulty seems to be finding enough time to keep up with the demand.
For those wanting to build their own though, reviews and a build thread and a comparison of optics would be pretty cool. I think there were some beam shots of the optics posted earlier, but I don’t remember where.

I’m bad at waiting. But expecting cool things in the mail at least motivates me to check the mail every day. Somewhere out there is an awesome 16340 EDC and an 18650 extender+button for my RRT01.
… really tempted to get the parts now for an interior lighting project. The 4000K MT-G2 seems just about right if I can give it enough heat sinking to withstand being turned on for hours in a role similar to a light bulb. Probably going to try to reflow its copper star onto a CPU heat sink, and perhaps treat the highest mode as a turbo. Perhaps it’s best that the site isn’t up right now, since it means I can’t order more toys.

It's working differently now. Before you could look at a page of listings and see which items were out of stock. Now you have to click into the listing for each item. I got excited because I thought the SRK PCB's were back in stock.
