Bought some hi-max batteries, and they arrived today, the pcb looks different colored then the original, could this be a new batch? hopefully no changes, at first i thought i received unprotected cells because the pcb looks the same as the bottom of a battery looks
mmmh you already have the "old" ones to compare? Just ordered some too, because of the good reviews :/
i don't have any old ones to compare, i just know that the listing shows gold pcbs, and pretty much every battery i have has gold pcbs
mmh maybe some other owner can say something... Ordered mine a week ago.. should take another 1-2 weeks to arrive
My pair, bought from ebay on March, look exactly like the ones pictured above.
Same colour PCB, same lettering (small and large fonts), even the "duo pack" with "Made in China" sticker is the same
They used to look like the pictures
The one on the left was purchased some time ago (early spring/late winter?). The one on the right I received about two weeks ago. The new one does have a different look to the protection, the color is more silver than gold, and there is no "texture" it's flat.
I have not noticed any differences as far as capacity (tested in the 2400-2500mAh range), but with a different circuit other things could be different.
One thing to note the new ones I received are a bit wider than the old ones, about as wide as my Xtars.

fully charged the new one on an XM-L draw was 2.84amps and the old one was 2.87amps.
