on the search for a 16mm driver

so i tried filing down a nanjg 17mm driver, and i think it shorted out on the pill and fried my emitter. im looking for a comparable driver, around 1.5a, 3 modes h-m-l with memory. but it seems the 16mm driver is hard to come by. can anyone point me to the driver im looking for?

also, id like suggestions on a new emitter. the star is 16mm also, so thats an easy find. id like something that can be modestly driven too keep heat down, but still put out some good lumens

hello, i think you are making it wrong the 17mm will not work you should find a 20mm or 20.1mm driver

hope this will help you

nope... 16mm is what i need. 17mm is too big, and i measured the stock driver at 16mm when i had it out

Have you been here: http://www.videofoundry.co.nz/ianman/laboratory/research/driverlist.php

thanks, but on that list i found one that may be suitable... but its settling, i wanted about 1.5a with memory, but 16mm is limited.

what kind of output would i be looking at with an xm-l @ 1000mah?

Everything you need to know and then some, good luck.

hi, i also fit down a najg driver to 16mm for a lummi raw without any problems. do you have a picture of yours ?

grinding down is an option, You should have about 0.5mm to spare around all edges... if your careful.

it could have been my error and i could have messed the emitter or driver up, or both. unfortunately, i had the driver press fit in, and the only way i could get it out to try the old driver cracked the 8pin chip :( but live and learn.

i may give the nanjg another try, but ill have backups handy next time. sucks to have only one driver and one emitter to work with if something goes wrong.

good luck
