my yezl y3 need a upgrade somebody have this torch ?

i have the yezl y3 and find it a good flashlight, better than the hd 2010

yezl y3

the version with 1x 26650 ( the single version enough for me)

the driver = 23 mm with one side tail voor mode ,the on/of is on the backside 2600 Amp

what are the options for modding this driver ?its the first time i want to mod a driver like this and will not broke that :open_mouth:

can i hold the original driver (master -slave) and let it over take wit a qlittle driver ? (single battery)

or can i 2600Amp (original driver) 3 Amp qlittle driver ? =–5,5 Amp >) mode from the qlittle ? or al the stuf remove and hold only the 380A x….

i hope somebody know it before i do stupid thinks H)

i use the light on one of my bikes from the fields with large mount and i love it.

thx for suggestion

I sent mine to my light doctor aka Tom E, he helped me piggy back BLF driver… And it’s about 1700 lumens ( maybe more ) and yes it’s a nice thrower

Yes - it's a really nice light. I modded two, and have two stock ones here - no time to mod them yet. The Y3 is a HD2010 done nice, and better. Because it's an e-switch, the mod I do isn't so simple for sure.

here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/24076, post #77: detailed some stock specs on different cells, etc. Post #86 has some details, post #117 is the final results.

Here's the driver setup:

brrrrrr. it becoming a hard way for me :zipper_mouth_face:

is it the only option for a single battery?

for 2 batteries i understand it is motre difficult.

work this not wit a other 17mm driver only with bvb. 6x 380Amp al the rest remove ?

we hold so the original driver and have more Amp ?

another option but not the best base plate with spring 23 mm whire to one qlittle driver 4 mode ans 12x 380A ?

but the sidebutton not working than :weary:

You could buy this driver: http://www.mtnelectronics.com/opencart/index.php?route=product/product&path=67&product_id=209

, but not sure about overseas shipping. But you'd still have to piggyback the driver to the stock driver because of the switch. This is not an easy straight forward, easy mod... I'm used to doing them.

You could upgrade it to a copper MCPCB, XM-L2 U2 LED, maybe resistor mod the stock driver. Not sure how the resistor modding works on this - forgot...

link not working here

it become very difficult this mod.

Link fixed.

Oh, also there's Dr Jones who sells e-switch/momentary switch drivers and he's in Germany.

It has R180 and R150 resistors. You can piggy back resistors here to boost the amps. I believe it was you who used R100 resistors but saw no improvement in output when using a single cell (as per the original Yezl Y3 thread).

I myself plan to add two R150 resistors to the existing resistors to get a theoretical 5.17A. This will be driving an MT-G2, so I might be able to get around 2700 OTF lumens out of it. Note that, I will be using this in a 2-cell configuration.

it become to difficult to me for mod this flashlight :~

maybe there coming other options on the future.

with a dedome xpg2 @ 2.6Amp on this light i have maybe a little tk61vn

i mean XPE2 ….somebody try this already ?

this time i have nothink do with mine y3…. but i think for close the side hole and make a tactical light 14mm to 16 mm hole with 2 drivers 2x 2.8 Amp
