2nd. Annual BLF Scratch Made Light Contest is CLOSED - WINNERS results have been posted in the OP!

Same here, i wish good luck to everyone who entered this contest.
All these custom built lights are great creations, though with many differences between each one, they all hold one big thing in common…

  • There are no losers in this fun comp, as they are all great efforts showing the common interest we all share, making everyone a winner in my books.

Well, the contest runs until June 30th at Midnight, but the counter is set to GMT, or it's supposed to be.

I’m sorry but I didn’t have enogh time to work on anything so you can delete me from the list.

Thank you very much for the opportunity OL!!

Best wishes for every contestant here, its funn to work and post but also lots of effort really to finish a project. I have seen great talent, diversity, and determination and i like all the projects that i read here.
It was a first kind of project for me this and fir sure i will remember well enough thise days for a long time.
I have one last bit ti add in my project but i think to not have enough time to implement properly.
I have a couple of las work pictures that i believe do more justice my light so am posting here and please OL if u find time chose one of those for putting in first page above my name

Tick tock tick tock. Whats that you say?

Looks great, Ervin - like a crown jewel!

I took some outdoor photos of mine this morning.

Post #61 of my build thread.

If it's not too much trouble, I wouldn't mind getting one of my outdoor photos at the start of this thread, in place of the one that's there now.

The original pictures were taken at about 1AM, after I'd just finished it.... it looks a little better outside, at 10AM :)

great work Ervin  alot of work went into this.

after Yesterday it has been a year since the circuitry of the Glow-light on the Steam Light been running continuously. Very close to the deadline of the contest.

I finished!

Here you can see the front.

I like this picture better though, but maybe not as suitable for the "frontpage" picture.

Video and more pictures in my build thread.

Errant clock deleted.

4½ hours left to cry… :frowning:

Mjêh well, it was something i wouldn’t want to have missed.
Better next time !

(I did finish, but it’s already broken again… :stuck_out_tongue: )

2 hours and 50 minutes left to cry now. :stuck_out_tongue:

All is not lost! The countdown timer was running down Till June 30th, not thru June 30th. The timer is set correctly now! Sorry!

I know for those that run to the last minute, it wouldn't really make much difference anyhow.

This is why I had written:

The contest officially starts as of this posting and it runs until June 30th. at Mignight. No matter what the stupid countdown shows.

ahead of the counter.

Contest is Closed. Hopefully I will have the winners posted by the 4th of July.

Its all over for another 4 years. That should give us all plenty of time to work out our next builds. I did say originally that I wanted to be a judge but am I glad now I'm not. I would not want to be a judge if you paid me. Have fun guys whoever you are.

4 years is annual?

Anyway, here’s a pic for the OP:

(it’s the middle one… :stuck_out_tongue: )

I believe I have every "Completed" entry in Post #1 mow, with photos. Please let me know if I missed anyone.

Thanks

Can you change my pic to this one please? It is a much better picture.

I agree Steve, another great collection of one of a kind builds that will be hard to pick from. Having done this twice now I feel less drained after this one. I hope that’s a trend and common to others. Maybe some of those who entered but were not able to free up the time needed can entertain us with their builds until the next round.

Thanks Justin for putting together another great opportunity/incentive to be creative.
