Introducing ACEBEAM

It's all too obvious that all these light names were pulled out of an old hat. There's hardly a one that makes sense at all, and some of them, like this one, are embearassing. It's one of the reasons I sometimes hate even touching or modding a Chinese light. Now Maglite almost makes sense, but Microbluebear has to be one of the most idiotic. Right up there with Uranusfire.

Such a stupid name change. I really hope they didn't plan to print it on their lights. People avoid Fandyfire lights because it looks gay on a light. Microbluebear is even worse.

I don’t think microbluebear is anywhere near as bad as fandyfire. It feels much more unique to me than all the companies with fire, nite, etc. I kinda like it.

It will match your Hello Kitty lunch pail.

Time to buy some supneams before quality becomes ultrafire greatness

Unfortunately JM, your worry has become real.

Introducing the Microbluebear K50:

Great job from Supbeam Microbluebear marketing department!

Is microbluebear what causes uranusfire?

Well, they just shot themselves in the arse. Wonder what the translation in Chinese is? Can’t be blue bear, must be something else like Monster bear or something. They just couldn’t be THAT Stupid!.. Could they?? I was working on a GB with them, but not any more.

Just because they changed their name?

Actually, that was sort of the last straw in a pile of loose straws and misunderstandings, but definitely, it has a big impact to me. I absolutely would not want to be associated with a light of that name, just as Uranusfire. Personal preference, everyone has one.

the sales reps (wont name names), are good at piling the straw up until it is too much.

But, Supbeam produces good lights. Why would you go and take away a decent name to put a stupid one on it?

Does this mean you (Supbeam) will not make lights for brands anymore? Wont name any, but know of about 4 or 5 that I know are made by Supbeam.

At least FandyFire and UranusFire are funny. This name just makes no sense.

Unfortunately OL, in Chinese it means exactly it is... They really mean Blue Bear (小蓝熊)!

As an extra information, with "小蓝熊" you can also read it as "little blue bear".

深圳小蓝熊科技有限公司 (Shenzhen Microbluebear Technology CO.,LTD) That is exactly how it was written in their website.

What a troll!

Honestly I was planning to buy either Fenix TK61 or the Supbeam Microbluebear K50 after a couple of months when I have saved up enough. I was actually leaning towards the K50 with the better features and the equivalent good quality but now they got me hold back. Fenix TK61, or K50 with the "Microbluebear" rubbed off later? Lol.

why know drop the bluebear and simply call the brand Microlite?

Hey Old-Lumens… The Chinese name turns out to be 小蓝熊, which approximates to Little Blue Bear… Good grief! It is just as ridiculous in Chinese.

Oops… Missed bibihangs post. Ignore this. Must be the Micro Blue Bear name getting to me.

I rather they called it 微熊科技®.

Great lights, but silly name. I really dislike the name. Petty yes, but it just sounds like something I'd be ashamed to tell people about.

Friend: What light is that? It looks really awesome.

Me: Oh it's just a microbluebear

Friend: A what?

Me: It's called a microbluebear

Friend: What? I can't hear you.

Me: microbluebear

Friend: Never mind...

Me: (whispers) sorry

Wait a minute… Does it mean that all Supbeam has officially became “limited” edition?

I hope they will have an option to get ice-blue anodization. So fresh!
