Such a stupid name change. I really hope they didn't plan to print it on their lights. People avoid Fandyfire lights because it looks gay on a light. Microbluebear is even worse.
I don’t think microbluebear is anywhere near as bad as fandyfire. It feels much more unique to me than all the companies with fire, nite, etc. I kinda like it.
Well, they just shot themselves in the arse. Wonder what the translation in Chinese is? Can’t be blue bear, must be something else like Monster bear or something. They just couldn’t be THAT Stupid!.. Could they?? I was working on a GB with them, but not any more.
Actually, that was sort of the last straw in a pile of loose straws and misunderstandings, but definitely, it has a big impact to me. I absolutely would not want to be associated with a light of that name, just as Uranusfire. Personal preference, everyone has one.
Unfortunately OL, in Chinese it means exactly it is... They really mean Blue Bear (小蓝熊)!
As an extra information, with "小蓝熊" you can also read it as "little blue bear".
深圳小蓝熊科技有限公司 (Shenzhen Microbluebear Technology CO.,LTD) That is exactly how it was written in their website.
What a troll!
Honestly I was planning to buy either Fenix TK61 or the Supbeam Microbluebear K50 after a couple of months when I have saved up enough. I was actually leaning towards the K50 with the better features and the equivalent good quality but now they got me hold back. Fenix TK61, or K50 with the "Microbluebear"rubbed off later? Lol.
My guess is that Supbeam was probably an OBM client of MicroBlueBear and is probably going out of business, leaving MBB holding lots of unsold stock. If MBB can successfully hold Supbeam’s market, they should make a little more money going from wholesale to retail. Or better yet (for us) is to split the difference, giving us a lower price, while keeping a higher margin for themselves at the same time.
