I’m lookng for a few Casio-like watches for work. Anyone have an ‘Alike’ brand in their EDC collection? About $6-$12. Here are a few that caught my eye:
These look definitely super good and for such a low price it is hard to resist. The third one is what I like most.
Tmart has also nice watches I have this on order which cost me less than 12$.
Check out this thread for a short review of a casioclone.
I’ve been trying out the gear fit for a few months. I really like it. It gets a lot of attention and it serves the function of displaying texts and emails well enough. It’s going back in a couple weeks, but I look forward to future smartwatches.
This is my EDC watch. It’s really worn and has ruined me for non tritium watches. I have even joined a forum to try and figure out how to get tritium into those Seiko Racer 5 watches. It might not be possible due to space available for thick watch hands.
Work, working on cars, showers, sleeping etc, its had plenty of knocks and scrapes but aside from being a bit dirty its unmarked and still in top condition.
Its held up pretty well but I’d like to get something a bit more classy.
I have been interested in a Orient blue Mako for a long time but I’m currently out of work, when I have income again it will be high on the list right after the necessities.
Unfortunatly they dont ship to Aus, I prefer the CEM65002D (FEM/SEM) with the steel band, it makes the watch look a bit more classy than a rubber strap with dolphins on it. Although I did look at them because they are cheaper but then buying a Orient replacement steel band is another $80+.
The blue Ray I considered too but I really like the numerals on the Mako, if I could have any watches I wanted though I’d have a few Orient watches including the Ray.
I figured I'd wake up this sleeping thread :) I ordered this second generation SRP307 Seiko Monster from Amazon. I should have it tomorrow. It's got the new improved 24 jewel 4R36 movement that you can wind manually as well as being automatic. Also, the second hand stops when you pull out the crown to set the time unlike most automatics. This is the first watch I've purchased in over a year. I'm pretty excited :)
