BLF15DD Version 1.0: https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/V4ua4iuK
I have removed ALL the old Direct Driver 15/17/20 drivers. I didn't even realize that I had been leaving old versions up. The only boards you will be able to get your hands on are the DD, DD-Z, and linear version 1.0 boards now.
Hey guys any of you US folks interested in getting in on a larger digikey order? I need to reup my own supply, I’m looking at ordering a few hundred resistors, 50 input cap’s and some 13A’s and AOD510’s, I’m probably going to place my order tomorrow, if anyone is interested in getting any of the standard 105c parts and/or FET’s please let me know ASAP and we can get it setup to get better prices.
Also getting some neutral XP-E2’s but the first level price break doesnt start till 50pcs (but still only $2.57/pc)
It looks like I’ll need to do some editing on the op. Family reunion has kept me pretty well occupied this week and flying home tomorrow. I’ve been checking in when I could but it didn’t seem like the dust had quite settled on some of the newest ideas. I’ll be working on editing over the weekend but if I miss something please let me know either here or by pm so I can get it squared away.
It's a 'Medusa' replacement PCB for SRK lights. Fully integrated LED and driver. It was done more for shits 'n' giggles (will look 'mad wicked') than anything else but if it works then sweeeeet. Has a direct driven quad array with medium optic (hence why I asked for that quad optic), a single direct driven (albeit lower current) XP-E2 through an optic for throw (or whatever optic is chosen), and a single reflector with RGB XQ emitters for color mixing. If I ever revise the design I'll replace the direct driven XPE2 with an AMC7135 and a UV emitter probably.
I won't be able to fire it up until I get my MCU from tterev3 (on it's way) or my 4 nichia emitters...which I just realized I haven't ordered yet. Sh*t. I have everything else already so I'll start work on the host and beefing up the heat sink this weekend.
been watching matt’s videos the last 2 days and I’ve got this, this is a 3ch RGB 22mm driver, it’s far from being ready to order, I just wanted to see it in purple.
One important aspect of this driver was for it to allow any of the connections from either side, thats whats with all the via’s.
This will be driving red, blue and green SST-90’s in a light I’m building (Yes I know what they cost [$44/ea], go big or go home right!).
I know you've said its far from finished but my 2c:
1) pretty great layout as is, and it's nice to see you have followed my advice (maybe even intentionally lol) if using nice angled/rounded bends in traces. Not right angles in sight!
2) I'd finish the layout and then beef up as much as possible every trace you possibly can. Not crtical but I've found on very rare occasions that OHSPark can give dud traces if they are too thin.
3) Label everything. Components, wire points etc.
Other than that its a pretty darn good first attempt!!
After I submit the zip folder to oshpark and it gives me the first front and back render and I hit continue, where it takes you to the approval page with a different view of every file layer, is there any way to get back to that view later? Or is there a way to view the individual gerber files layer at a time?
