Yes - it's a really nice light. I modded two, and have two stock ones here - no time to mod them yet. The Y3 is a HD2010 done nice, and better. Because it's an e-switch, the mod I do isn't so simple for sure.
here: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/24076, post #77: detailed some stock specs on different cells, etc. Post #86 has some details, post #117 is the final results.
, but not sure about overseas shipping. But you'd still have to piggyback the driver to the stock driver because of the switch. This is not an easy straight forward, easy mod... I'm used to doing them.
You could upgrade it to a copper MCPCB, XM-L2 U2 LED, maybe resistor mod the stock driver. Not sure how the resistor modding works on this - forgot...
It has R180 and R150 resistors. You can piggy back resistors here to boost the amps. I believe it was you who used R100 resistors but saw no improvement in output when using a single cell (as per the original Yezl Y3 thread).
I myself plan to add two R150 resistors to the existing resistors to get a theoretical 5.17A. This will be driving an MT-G2, so I might be able to get around 2700 OTF lumens out of it. Note that, I will be using this in a 2-cell configuration.
