In one of his YouTube comments he said 100k Lumens was actually overkill on land, thus he sells a 50k and recommends the 114k kit for on the water.

Maybe actually too many Lumens??

To be honest my C8 is overkill on most of my uses already, even if I brought it to hiking I kept it staying in low and medium mode most of the time.

EDIT: Yet I still own BTU Shocker, HD2010, HID spotlight… etc. Let’s just admit this: As a flashaholic we want something more than just being “practical”. :stuck_out_tongue:

One led is 15 euro. Where is 3000?

I am sure this is not street legal in most countries. That said i wish one could make LED retrofits street legal, but this number of lumens is a waste of energy and fuel, if i had 5000 well aimed lumens it would be far more then needed.

Have to feel sorry for the driver of the car where the bike turns right (about 2min in) and he leaves them on full power, if you notice the car braked after being blinded, yeah nice and safe.
But over 60 Amps @ 12v, wonder how long his altenator will last.

I think the car battery and alternating system can take this 740W of power but probably special battery is needed, I don’t know. Just imagine how those car audio enthusiasts modify their amplifiers and woofers into super high wattage.

Of course these LED bulbs didn’t exist in 2014, I have some in my car and wouldn’t say they are 8000 lumens each as we know manufacturers always hype the figures, but 16000 lumens still isn’t 114,000 lumens as the title says. even if you have twin lights (4x 8000) that’s still only 32,000.

You would need at least 24 headlights (if they can even make 5000 lumens each) to make approx 114,000 lumen - so you are up to $720 just for the bulbs, then you need 24 headlamps to hold them then you would need a spare big battery and a bigger alternator to charge that beast setup that would cost heaps.

Would be easier and cheaper to get a 3 or more 4x4 light bars which is what they are really doing anyway, just better made and give actual real lumen ratings.

Typical car head lights are about 700 lumens each.

High output alternator, 00 gauge wire, and yellow top batteries.
Could look into. Getting the “big 3” upgraded. 0 gauge wire upgrade from negative battery to chassis, negative battery to engine block, positive battery to alternator.
I was running 2000 watts RMS (constant) without the lights dimming.

With the specs provided, this thing is calculated to make about 1/3 or less OTF lumens than 114k lumens. The X70 and MS12 is easily brighter than this.
