Suspiciously cheap Samsung 4.35v 3200mah from DX. (SOLD OUT) UPDATE : RECEIVED REFUND FROM DX!

Nice find Major!

I think these are legitimate Samsung cells and my experience with Samsung cells tells me that they are very good cells.

The only problem is that if the international ban on Lithium Ions is still in place on not. Has anyone received their Lithium Ion orders recently?

Comparing the two different graphs is like comparing apples and oranges, I’m sure HKJs equipment is a lot more accurate. You can see in this thread that the LG D1s average 1400-1700mah till 3.4v, so on that basis these batteries are just as good as the D1s in holding there voltage.

Thanks for the tip been looking for some decent cells!

OK, my order that includes 4 of this mentioned Samsung batteries was shipped today  you can expect report with pics in about 30 days

Seriously a good deal if you can’t get those cheap laptop packs. I ordered 3 sets (with bulk rate) for a total of $40.07, that comes to $3.34 apiece shipped. That’s a really good price for these.

Don’t worry about the charge voltage, even if you don’t charge to 4.35V, you still get close to 3Ah capacity.

I’m such a sucker. Ordered 3 packs. I don’t expect to be getting these batteries.

I ordered 4 from them on May 30 but nothing arrived till today! Good luck!

Ordered four sets, I must have more money than sense but don’t really have much of either :expressionless:
Actually do have a use a use for most of them and a couple of sets to keep as spares.
Hope they get here before Xmas.

I ordered a single set with a couple small items to get to the free shipping level. I can always use a set of 4 matched batteries for things but hope I will see them before winter…… :stuck_out_tongue:

Ordered 3 sets (12 pcs). Will put them in portable power banks to charge my 5v DC devices.

Hope they arrive in good working condition within a reasonable amount of time.

I bought several days ago because the price is good.
My charger 4.18v load summary, these batteries are able to v 4.35. A lost only 4.20 v 200 mAh experts say.
Worth buying more for the offer anyway?

Mine order status is “BackOrder”. I would be happy if I get them this year. :santa:

If additional cost won’t really matter to you guys, I think having it shipped via DHL will do the trick as DHL has their own plane, don’t they?

Basen offered me to test those many cells and charger but send it only via DHL since others won’t accept the cargo, they say.

I declined Basen’s offer since in my country, packages via DHL are heavily taxed, maybe with those Basen cells and charger, will cost me upwards of $150!

In fact, I paid DHL $35 tax for the $25 declared value of the Xtar VP2 that I won in a recent contest.

I wonder what carrier was used when Ledoman got his Basen samples.

Wow. That’s crazy. I thought that taxes here are high - 21% of order value if it’s over 29$ USD.

I just bought a four pack of these as I’m running low on matched batteries now since I’ve bought a few multi-celled lights. Should these work well in a SRK type light?

So you’re saying these ICR batteries aren’t high drain? I’m conflicted now because I thought ICR were high drain…

IMR is high drain. ICR is standard.

I’d appreciate a quick summary of the max drain each is capable of without damage.
Also I’ve not before considered drain capacity, can I assume it’s normally not a problem with LED flashlights, even those rated 900lm using a single 18650 cell?

I have been considering repowering my (Li-ion) cordless drill-driver since the standard pack is dead (less than 3 years).
I guess I will need IMR?
But how can you tell if cells listed for sale are IMR?

Final comment: after reading here about “great” Panasonic Li-ion cells I purchased a pair from Fastech. One worked, the other refused to charge beyond 3.6V. Obtained a free replacement ( good work Fastech), but the replacement failed to charge beyond 3.6V also. I also asked Fastech how I could be sure they were actually Panasonics because the cells were not so labelled. Strange but after twice asking: zero response - go figure!

Just got a email my order has shipped via Singpost. Yes

For cordless power tools these are next to useless they release the power too slow, you need something high drain like the samsung 20R from fasttech.

Some more information about the non working panasonic is needed. Link to the ones you bought? Does it power a flashlight? Is it making contact when on charge, flat top don’t always work in my xtar charger for that reason. Is your meter battery good? Have you tried it in another charger? If it’s protected, as a last resort if the circuit proves to be faulty just rip it off and you’ll have a good cell underneath, just not protected, but that’s fine in my book as I don’t like protected cells all that much.

I made a 3S power pack for my drill with 3 Samsung 2600. It works fine. The drill was never fast to begin with so maybe it was not designed to pull too much amps, I’m not sure (this is one of those cheap drill - Tesco brand).

But as far as torque go, there’s no problem at all, it’s as strong as original NiCd pack, maybe even stronger. But most importantly I love the low self discharge of Li-ion and real battery capacity.

TNT, no problems with taxes, but got taxed 17EUR for $25 declared value on some ordinary tracking shippment with bicycle light
