I learned decades ago — if you light up someone you don’t know, at a distance, make sure you are holding the flashlight at arm’s length off to one side, not in front of you or anyone else. Just as a precaution for the time someone shoots at the light. It happens.

There's some good deals on eBay for the olight sr51. I been tempted s few times, but I got a k40 I need to get done up and pretty sure that'll beat the sr51 hands down, and has a better UI I think
I made a 2P1S battery conversion (OSHPark boards) for the Olight SR51…with a simple driver upgrade…it becomes crazy powerful…you can thank Cereal_killer for his investagatory skills and building prowess! The guy is a flashlight mastah!
Yeah, I seen the mods for it but don't think it would beat the k40. Granted the k40 is twice the price and still needs modding

Seems a bit calling the kettle black. The fact that you were turning off the light to not be detected says who was really not up to no good. You were probably shining the light on the folks that were staying in the next suite from you. Who won't want to play on the beach instead of in a suite.

BS…just another story of immature flashlight owners who were lucky enough not to have to eat those lights after lighting up people in public places. Very much like laser pointers in theaters of the past.
