Hi guys!

Autumn is coming with long dark evenings, so.. Let the group buy season begin!

As you might have heard, Supbeam is changing the brand name to Acebeam. I saw that as a good opportunity for us budget minded flashaholics, so I contacted Supbeam and asked if they are willing to give us a nice discount for Supbeam X40 L2...

...and they were, if we can get 50pcs sold. And that is the maximum number too, so this will be exactly 50pcs for both BLF & TFF members.

I'm still negotiating the price, but it will be quite nice - So nice that it can't be mentioned here.

So, is anyone interested, or am I just wasting my time negotiating with them? :)

Replying to this thread doesn't mean that you are committed to buy, but gives you a secured position on the list in case we have over 50 buyers.

This is the normal price for this light. Not going to happen at $50-$60.

I really don’t think too many members are going to sign up without any idea of the price, or they’ll sign up and back out if the price isn’t to their liking.

Yup, mod friendly if the head is not glued.

Just as easy as the Supbeam/ThruNite lights we all love.

Just checked specs on X40VN. Only modded from 2,5A to 3,1A to each emitter. Is that max output?

IIRC he had a v2 at around 4.2a

i believe the batteries are in parallel

I don't think so. Someone please correct if I'm wrong, but it must use the "charge parallel, run in series"-approach, which is used also in the K50 and X60. Quite lot of magic in battery holder.. :)

Stock, the batteries are in series. Charges in parallel like mentioned above.
