YEZL Y3 CNQUALITYGOODS Group buy. 3 Versions. See post 274 for delivery details.

The pic’s legend says “XML”. Did the “old” one has XML, rather than XM-L2?

I’ve ordered Version C of the group buy at cnqualitygoods.com.
The original YEZL Y3 product page has XM-L2 U2 in the title line but XML-2 T6 for the LED description. Both are XML2 but different bins.
I ordered anyway and expect it to work out.

Would that driver be hospitable to an MTG2?

Oh - on the CNQ product page? It's always been XM-L2 as far as I know, and pretty sure it's an XM-L2 T6 1A. RIC's website is crazy, whacky, frought with errors all over the place. I just went through some things, and boy, so many blank pics, wrong descriptions, conflicting info -- it's a mess. Thinking of ordering parts but worried I'll get the things I order...

I'm confident we are good with the group buy, just that the product listing has some mistakes and lots of missing details.

I'm waiting for Ric to get back to me to confirm the led. If theres any questions I miss please prompt me. Cheers guys.

Waiting answers but pretty sure version B has a new home with me
PS ordered and changed to version C

Do you know how long the Gb will be active?

I’m in. Version C (3).

So this is the best budget thrower available right?
Is the sock driver modeable to serious amps?

Always wanted a Y3, for the price I’ll probably pick up a v3, I like the look of better and plan to run them single cell but the price for the expensions is so good I could have them if I need them in the future for this or other Y3’s (or for HD2010’s which I recently read a thread claiming they work on).

I did ask the question but have not had a reply yet. I'll post here when I find out.

I also read this but cannot confirm whether the threads are correct or just lose enough they screw together. The other thing to wonder if the tubes are the correct threads is the length correct to accommodate two batteries with the tailcap screwed on. I'm like the rest of you here that doesn't have a light yet.

I can’t get the pictures to work but I can assure you the threads are identical. Not just ‘close-enough’. Length wise I’ll go measure now… Just a minute

Edit: HD2010 ‘main’ tube is ~7mm longer than the y3’s. I was successful though previously making series contact with two 18650s inside the HD2010 with a magnet or two. I figure it’s a lot easier though to lengthen a battery or spring/contact than to machine a body tube. Anyhow, this deliberate attempt yielded no contact with bare cells in the few configurations I tried.

I got out of bed to take the measurements, but now it’s time for me to sleep… more tomorrow.

Thanks Jared. Are you using protected or non protected batteries?

Unprotected laptop pulls is what I was fooling with. I have some protected 5200s inbound so I’ll check with those once I get them. My guestimations are it’ll be perfect for that setup where you need some extra length.

I just put an extension on the black no name HD2010 from Tmart, fits 100% and takes 2 Panasonic protected 3400's (69.98mm).

Ordered a version A

how many lumen output on Version A?

So is this the GB price? Or, is this the normal price and then GB price will be shown after we get 20 orders?
