Test/Review of Keeppower IMR18650 3200mAh (Black) 2014

You get the lines for both cells I have tested, here there is some difference between the cells.

It can’t be the NCR18650BE. That cell has a maximum continuous discharge of 3.636A. Since it appears to be good to 10A, it has to be the NCR18650BD (gray wrapper).

Have you seen the official specsheet or are you going off by what some random seller or forum posted? Just becomes panasonic rates it at one thing doesn’t mean keeppower can’t rate it for more.

Have you seen any review confirming that NCR18650BE cannot handle higher current? The NCR18650BD positive terminal does not match this keeppower like the NCR18650BE.

18650BE are not high drain, they are lower rated then NCR18650B, which are like 5-6A cellss (max)

Thanks

What review have you seen that makes that claim? Here is the NCR18650BE performing very well at 5A continuous discharge:

Another thing. Isn’t the BE simply an ICR cell? This Keeppower is specifically listed as an IMR. And although the BD is actually a hybrid rather than a true IMR, hybrids are often sold as IMRs.

A mystery cell.
What can it be. ??
Who knows what it is ? Anyone ?

Thanks, because I am on a phone.

Can anyone match this graph to a Panasonic graph ?

Can anyone link the Panasonic Specs
such as ( 20A ). ?
and what panasonic model number is this. ?

– is there a protection circuit ??
It says IMR on the label.
Is this IMR, or not IMR ?
If this is a hybrid, what is the correct way to say so ?
Is a hybrid really an IMR. ?

I guess I will see how many IMR batteries
that Panasonic makes.
I guess if you think about it,
IMR could mean anything.

i don’t know what that stuff means.
as long as it says made in japan somewhere on there,
i know it’s a good battery
if y’all would not keep testing all these batteries,
we would not be getting so many complaints about them

Do reviewers ever unwrap batteries? Shouldn’t this be a relatively easy question to answer?

If batteries aren't double wrapped, you probably may not find any useful information on the bare steel shell. Or maybe you can. What does this mean?

I guess we will never find out the truth about this battery.
Has it been proven there’s a Panasonic inside ??

LOL are you kidding me? ofc its Panasonic.

As you can see in the review I specify it contains a Panasonic cell.

This is because Keeppower has told me that it is a Panasonic cell and I do believe them.

I have not seen a manufacturer lying about the cell yet, they may hold information back, but they do not lie.

Thank you I now trust it is a panny and a good battery , of course.
Does it’s graph match the graph of an IMR battery ?

Try checking out HKJ's website in his signature to compare graphs yourself. I think you'll be very pleased.

Good Day,

Does anyone know where we can buy these batteries from (preferably not from US as shipping is VERY Expensive)?….

Thank You Very Much,
George

Good Day Dazed1,

Thank You Very Much for the info…

Neither of these batteries in the two links claims to be an
IMR cell. If it is IMR, why dont they say it at FT and BG. Is this battery in the keeppower shrink wrap
really an IMR cell. ? Is a hybrid properly called an IMR ?
I am confused by this label.
I can not be sure this keeppower battery is a BD ,
because no one else calls the BD an IMR.
Is anyone selling this keeppower branded Panasonic ??
