Used Laptop Packs- Have Hundreds of them

Are they all the same pack, what cells are inside?

All the same type of battery, opened 8 of the same type and all were UR18650a, sanyo 2250mAh. I would like to think that are all the same type of batteries but I guess there is no real way to say that without opening them.

Why not tear em down and ship individual batteries?

How many would fit in the “if it ships” $5.80 box?

And this is NOT a bad deal…even the 2250mAh are going to be MORE accurate on mAh than many “chinese mAh” junk people sell

heck even at $1.00 a piece you are sitting on a goldmine! I know for a fact these batteries work PERFECTLY in everyday run of the mill daily drivers…all day every day

WarHawk, most of the discussion on the value of these batteries is over here Laptop Packs.

Yes…I have bought a few from 18650, they are good batteries

If there are beginner flashlight aholics here…I highly recommend getting some of these, they are MUCH better than the generics

Thanks Halo

Lotta work to rip apart hundreds of packs.

I’m intrigued about how many can fit in a small flat rate box or maybe a flat rate padded envelope, because if it’s 2 or 3 I would probably be in.

Edit: noticed you mentioned that you tried the small boxes already.

Will try the padded envelopes after work. Will post the result when I can.

Laptops can be hard on batteries, some might not be particularly good. And they have to compete with the deals for new, un-used old packs that come up once in awhile.

so lets get this right ...

A person could buy 8 panasonic 3400's

or 180 of these for the same money .

interesting

Guys, he is selling these at a price per cell, but they are used, unopened laptop battery packs that he would be shipping. That is why he is saying packs of 9 cells. You can order whatever number of packs you want, but they have 9 cells each in them, so you will be paying at that rate. Please check out the discussion at the link Halo provided. One thing Hagg911 says there that makes this interesting to me is that most of the laptops these came out of were still claiming these battery packs had 60% to 70% capacity. That means at least that they are still good batteries, you can even still use them in a laptop if you happen to have the right one. It also means that they are still a matched set, because they are still charging/discharging “equally” within the tolerance of the laptop pack’s electronics.

Ok, post office was out of the bubble mailers. If you order less than 5 packs I will open them and ship them as cells only in a small flat rate box to save you a bit of shipping costs. Free of charge.

After tearing 3 open for Warhawk I think I will edit the original post and put that if you want them in a smaller container I will have to add a bit to the cost.

That’s what I said. <3 Futurama

PM incoming about mailing options, depending on the length of unopened pack’s I may be able to provide you padded mailers for single packs, I have several dozen.

USPS will mail them to you for free though.

First round of packs will be shipped today. Opened 3 more packs last night. All of them were sanyo UR18650FM. Did not test each one but several at random and they were all above 4v.

your laptop battery supplier wouldn’t happen to be able to get his hands on some 2.5” sata laptop drives would he?

How many do you need?
