STARTED: GBGB: Stainless steel AAA clicky with a clip (CQG S1 "clone")

I’d like to put a split ring when I get mine and a biner for a zipper pull, but it sounds like it won’t work. Oh well

I glued mine on the body with a drop of CA, I first thought also of a screw in the tailcap but I wanted to try this out first.

Here's a pic of the tail from the OP Beachlogger.

Don't have any measuring equipment to tell you how much lip there is to work with. Best guess is 3/64 of an inch. Anyone know how the tail cap comes apart?

I ordered mine ont the 7th, got a shipping confirmation on the 8th, but haven’t received the light yet. Should I be concerned?

Nope.
It’s China and it can be slow, after 30 days then you are 1 week away from being concerned.
It will come, if not file Paypal dispute at 39 days.

I agree, I’m gonna be using them with my Eneloops. The 10440’s actually are going to be used for a Vinh light I plan to order. Just curious as hell how bright they’re going to make this light.

I ordered also on the 7th, they’ll come don’t worry.

They are now $ 5.55 using the coupon

Oh no! I accidentally ordered 10 more of them now. Oops.

So… Cool white or Neutral white for me?
I own an XM-L2 U2 1A and I like the tint. But it’s right on the edge of being too blue for me. So is the cool white version cooler than an XM-L2 U2 1A?

In that case I guess you'll like CW better. The NW is quite warm, on the edge of being too warm for many people.

Thank you, that confirms what I was thinking.
I have a few questions, sorry if they were already answered:
1- What is the current draw on an Eneloop AAA? (I saw the specs on GB but I don’t trust them :D)
2- Is the output lumens regulated/constant like in a 7135 based flashlight?
3- What is the approximate runtime to 50% brightness with an Eneloop?
4- Did somebody test the efficiency vs input voltage characteristic of the driver?

Purchased 2 NW Y 2 CW
Two are for a friend so I hope you like them
4 at $ 22.20

I don't have any real eneloop AAAs at the moment, but I tried with two other NiMH cells:
- one with 1.25V voltage did draw 0.63A
- other with 1.33V did 0.57A

Haven't had time to investigate or test any of these, but I bet someone will chime in and answer, as there are so many sold already.. :)

Told you they’ll come

Thank you for your reply. I hope other users will give their feedback too. I’ll wait a bit before ordering.

Patiently waiting is going to turn into flipping out if my SupBeam GB light arrives before this one does……just saying

Considering many of those from that GB have shipped out via DHL and many other people received their orders from this GB, that is not really fair…

Having said that, I’m not happy about the fact that I’m still waiting for my July 8 order as well…

Exactly, I also dont want any ‘special’ help from GB. They emailed me said it was sent and thats all they can do. They cant track it, nor can I. Either they lied or its on its way still. I always have PP to cover me if I dont get it so nbd if I was lied to. This was GBs only chance from me so I guess its in their hands on if I return ever or not.
