I like the look of that light too. TinyDeal gave a coupon to get that light for $9.99 to the first like 10 or 15 users. Based on the replies in the thread, it seems I was the only taker.

To reiterate what Ric said above.

AR lenses are behind schedule. These are expected in two days.

Group guy lights without an AR lens will ship tomorrow. This is Saturday so I would not expect much action straightaway.

The group buy has been extended until fifty units are sold so there is still plenty of time to grab a light or two. At the moment the website is showing thirty units sold.

That count should not be “units” but “orders”. Many “orders” are for two (2) “units”.

Its in the OP guys. The reflector has been confirmed by Ric that it is smooth. If you are totally not convinced I'd suggest to give this GB a miss.

I'm sure Ric reads these posts so he may answer your question here. This thread is about the group buy and he has confirmed that the reflectors are smooth.

If you look carefully though his site - lots of issues. for the Y3 C listing, he still says U2 in one place and T6 in another - I left a comment bout a week ago there on the listing page (check it), still not addressed and no answer. I should have mentioned the OP/SMO as well -- it's definitely SMO.... Frustrating....

No one in their right mind would sell this with an OP - it's a born thrower.

Is there a thread that shows this light broken down? I’d like to see if it indeed needs some extra cooling capabilities so I can get materials ordered if need be. Ready to ramp up it’s power and let her rip! :slight_smile:

But Dale, no way no how will any stock light be built well enough to handle the amps you'll be serving up Smile. With my BLF DD setup, I think I left the shelf as is, and didn't add any copper under it. Cant' recall - think it was like 5mm or so.
