I’m sorry for your problem, the system of our website is that if your order cost under $40 it won’t generate a tracking number or you have ticked to pay for a tracking info (which may cost you $1.99), and if it didn’t generate a tracking number our support also can’t get your tracking informations for you. We’re sorry for it being late but we have surely shipped your post, and it will arrive certainly. If it doesn’t arrive truly in 45 (from the shipping date) days I’m really sorry and you can apply to return your payment. Could you please PM me your order number? If it has the tracking information maybe I can help you to check it, if there is not neither I can help you sorry :_( I beg your patience to wait it will arrive, if there is still any problem you can always PM me to ask for our support.
Really sorry for it troubled you, hope this reply can help you dear my friend :_(
I’ve received my CW a week ago. The NW one arrived this week. Ordered both within few minutes after the coupon was posted, in 2 different orders. The NW was in a worse condition than CW, dirty threads and inner side of the battery tube, a scratch on the head (but not on the bezel) like if it was rubbed few times against something rough, not too bad but noticeable when looking closer. It also starts flashing randomly after some time.
The NW is really warm, not as warm as my 2700K CFL bulb, but not much colder.
The lights compared to other NW tints (NW light, CW light, 4B, 3C):
The colors are not exact, but lets you get the idea how warm it is.
The $5.55 price was confirmed by Gearbest to be a pricing error => Back to $5.99 now. However, the price difference is so small that they will (most probably) ship also the ones ordered with wrong price.
About delivery time: Most of my lights arrived in good time, but one of my CW lights ordered at the beginning of the GB arrived only two days ago. Unfortunately the China post (and other alternatives too) is mysterious and there's not much the merchant can do for it.
We all understand that once shipped its out of their hands but for them to CLEARLY LIST 6-14 business days on their wesite but as soon as you contact them through paypal they claim it takes 15-45 BUSINESS days……thats absolutely bull. They are saying that so we have to wait past the paypal claim window so they cant get hit with claims. Although they say if it take over 45 BUSINESS days that hey will refund your cost………I dont believe that one bit after other issues with this.
Do they not realize 45 business days is almost 3 months! Heck I could have machined this light myself without a lathe in less time!
This is what gets me. Directly from their website…
6-14 business days to have it from the time of purchase to in my hands, yet every single time we do a group buy through this company, we hear the words “please wait 45 days for shipment to arrive.” But you quoted us at 6-14 business days, not 45. I’m on my 10th business day waiting, so I am well within the limit, but their tracking service still says “Shipment submitted” and nothing else. And I paid extra for a tracking number!
It really makes me appreciate the services we take for granted in the United States.
Thats exactly what I am saying. I didnt buy tracking for that exact reason also. It is so inconsistent with international shipping that its not worth it. Most of the time it doesnt update until the day after it arrives. They dont care to scan stuff, this isnt the USA so no one gives any cares. Thats also why im done with cheap international sellers, they just dont care anymore or ever.
Website says one thing but their CS always says something else. It cant be both, so one is a lie. Which one is a lie……id put money on it being the PR CS reps here….
Don’t ever use the seller’s tracking. I put all my tracking numbers in 17track then save the page as favourite in the browser. When I want to check on the packages I quickly load the page with all the numbers already in it. As for Gearbest’s tracking, it has never worked for me.
Been EDC'ing mine since I got it. Really like it. The button isn't hard to press on mine. I would like to figure out how to open up the switch for future maintenance purposes. Looks like it may be threaded into the tail cap but don't want to take pliers to it yet.
Still waiting for my other 5 would show up. 2 were shipped at the same time as the one I received.
Just opened it up(needed to center the led anyway) and did some investigations inside. There is a sensing resistor and it is despite it looked like a r50 a r500 0603, I replaced it with a R300 0805 and there is not much space. I tested the driver at 1.2V and it had 0.64A stock but it is hard to reduce the resistor because there is somewhere a fast jump or so to 2A, I now got around 1.3A@1.2V.
There is no thermal paste under the star and I guess the spring under the pill, the driver spring and switch spring aren’t made for high current so I wouldn’t recommend doing it…
I will play a bit with it when it gets dark.
The dome of the LEDs is also a bit abused, I guess because of the bad centering it had. Maybe I replace it with another led later.
