Rating: [BG] BangGood.com

Got a delivery from BG, with missing parts:
(2 pieces Soshine Ladre, which lacked power adapters and USB cables)
I chose then to not open a paypal dispute, but rather see if BG fixed the problem.
of course it took some time …… with many e-mails to customsuport ….
But then Neal came into play,
Promised me 2 new chargers, better and more expensive, for free
Having now received these, and am very happy.
Conclusion:
Neal is a man of his Word !
thanks

Strange…reading the reviews now, I would’ve expected to have a different experience. I was notified immediately about the purchase/shipping, and received the item in less than 10 days…Think that makes it last week…?

Ordered from cnqualitygoods the same time and had to email to find out what was happening with the order-no tracking or anything, and email just said I could log in to see the status. Still, nothing after 2 weeks.

Don’t know about you guys, but after some issues before, now my experience with BG is ok, their non flashlight/cells CS is still not really good, but for flashlights/cells/chargers Neal is really great guy, he helped me always, and fixed my issues. He is a great support.

Hmm…is he bad at answering emails?

And thats the way these things go. From what I can tell, each dealer has some issues which I would expect even with local bricks and mortar stores. Some people have never experienced the issues at all. And others yet will poo poo the one you have had good dealings with while praising the one you think is the devil.

My battery order from Banggood took 45 days to get to me, but they delivered. I rate them high for that. Battery shops are few and far between these days.

I ordered 2 Warsun flashlights over 2 months ago and CS is still giving me the “please wait a little longer” crap.

My first two orders took 8 working days (12 days total) from order placement to delivery.
(including some 18650s).
I didn’t have any reason to deal with their customer support yet, though. Sounds like it better stays that way. :stuck_out_tongue: But I’m happy so far.

Can’t recommend them anymore. They are snakey if something goes wrong.

The current big GB is with BG :frowning:

Returned 3 torches due to their mistake

Customer service acknowledged receipt of the 3 torches on 12th July
I do not know of any other online stores except ebay sellers that do not refund after being chased for 3 weeks and counting.

Shipping speed and envelope packaging is average like any other retailer.
My order of 4 Panasonic 3400 cells had 2 missing cells the first time. Customer service sent the missing 2 a few weeks later
Therefore, it would seem the finance dept is the problem

Highly recommend going other retailers unless you have time to chase refunds. I’ve already redirected my order of 24 cells to another.

I know… scary, huh. It was a tough decision and thats why Im only ordering one and prepared for the PP dispute process if necessary. If the GB light were through Gearbest, Id probably have ordered several more.

Add to that the PP dispute process may not be necessarily smooth. I have one case now that requires no investigation — all it needs is go to ups tracking info page — but that’s what PP said needed it. However the big GB most likely go smooth. It’s just too big to mess with.

I'll check it, sorry .

Our CS will refund u the money today.

very sorry for that.

Folks, of the resellers that we commonly deal with on BLF, BG is second in PP disputes and was barley nudged out by Wallbuys. Please spend your money wisely and always be prepared to launch a PP dispute if necessary

There’s another typical example. It takes a buyer to post on a public forum that he hasnt been given service through BG in order to get a response. All at the same time BG is about to sell 300+ flashlights to BLF members. Gee, I wonder why that is?

First package was incomplete, got a PM from them, but no further reaction. No good.
Second package never arrived. I PM’ed them, got a full refund. Well… better.
Third package arrived within 3-4 weeks, no complaints. Good.

First off..though only a few, my dealings with Neal and Banggood have been fine.

Second...why does anybody have to bring the GB into this? Sitting on the trigger over a $20 light?

While there are many unscrupulous vendors abroad, the same applies here in the USA. It is a worldwide problem. Most though are honest people that have customers that fail to understand the logistics of what is involve. This can be from ignorant customers or employees that cannot articulate well.

As for the GB X6...if anybody thinks they are buying a unit off the shelf that is not the case. It is a stock unit modified to our specs. Even though there is a very good possibility that it will become a production unit the custom BLF version is not and therefore will have to go through the manufacturing process. It could take anywhere from 60 to 90 days get to this shipped to our hands. For $20 bucks - why not? Hell, for $100 - why not? We have all spent a lot more than that for a whole lot less.

Is that what will happen? After 30 days everybody will complain about poor service (even though manufacture can take 30 days, plus, plus)

@bugsy36 - I didnt comment in the X6 thread. Its a huge collaborative effort meant to bring a good amount of fun and enjoyment to several hundred enthusiasts for a few cheap dollars. I think its a great idea that has generated a lot of enthusiasm and well within the budget of anyone who is interested.

Given the proven history and propensity of failure through this vendor and the comments of paypal supervisors viewing statistical data, it would probably be prudent to go into the purchase armed with as much information as possible and set your expectations accordingly. Naivety creates disappointment and false expectations. A proven track record of hits and misses gives us realistic information on what to anticipate. Of course we would like to see all of our transactions go smoothly, and know that the ones that dont will be dealt with swiftly and professionally. Lets hope this all works out for the best. If not, the paypal dispute process should protect the buyer as long as they follow the guidelines. Fingers crossed and good luck to all. My confidence level wouldnt allow me to purchase more than one, and I only did so because it is a BLF special addition not available through another vendor. Its also junk change in the great scheme of things, but junk change that will be protected if and when necessary.
