This light really catches my attention, big aspherical lens flashlight with budget price is so tempting.
Some members mentioned about changing the lens into DX 66mm glass lens. I have one 66mm lens from DX laying around, while it may fits inside this light the focal length may not be exactly the same though.
That is a good point. But the DX lens was a better replacement than what the stock Crelant head had in it. Scratched and full of bubbles. Was a disappointment.
1. Something to do with poor camera setting, maybe exposure, or shutter speed that makes it appears as round shape in the picture (don’t know much about camera).
2. The light was not fully zoomed out yet.
3. The light was fully zoomed out, but the lens still sits on inaccurate position. This is also the problem found in my T20 as it comes stock.
I’d pick #2 or #3 :)… Re. #3, it could be this, but maybe they designed it purposely that way, so that when the light is “fully zoomed out” you get a round spot? I don’t know about others, but one of the things that really turned me off to zoomies was having the square beam when fully zoomed out.
Looking forward to reading a review on this light myself as well. This summer's been kind of expensive so I'm cutting back on any non-essential spending, but this light really caught my eye. I don't need another thrower that's brighter than my old 52-mm XR-E Mag-Mod, but the allure is inescapable.
With 2 26650 cells the UF-1405 throws exactly like my crelant G5 with collinator head. Both are stock. It is adjustable and square like the led at full zoom.
Picked it up at Shenzhen homesafety on alibaba for $17.50 plus shipping.

I intend to try a dedomed U2 and boost amps to 5.
