GearBest shipping issues survey in BLF

Dear all BLF members,

Recently we have received many feedbacks about our shipping time issue in BLF, said in some countries some of our shipment is a little slow, we have paid attentions on these feedbacks and thought it is important for us to make a new policy of our shipment manner, to make a better and faster free shipping for all of our users here.

We decided to post this thread here to ask for your help—— If you could take a few minutes of time to give us a hand, we will try our best to change our shipping manners based on your suggestions.

We would like to ask you of your country, and the fastest manner you think you have used, and GearBest now can offer the free shipping manners such as Netherland Post, Singapore Post, HongKong Post, Switzerland Post, Belgium Post, China Post etc. Or if there is any other shipping manner that you think is fast in your counrty, you can also post the comment to mention it, we’ll gather all your suggestions for our shipping issues and may change our shipping manner to make it faster.

Thanks for all the supporting and understanding here, we hope you can spend a minute of time to post your suggestion here in this thread, and we’ll try our best to make the shipment better.

HK Post was ok for me, NL Post was faster. Country of destination Romania.

Suggest you use whatever postal service is based in the clients location. Example use European postal services for European clients, Asian postal Services for Asian clients, and so on.

I personally have had good experience with Hong Kong and Singapore Posts. I am based in South East Asia

Us Asians have very bad experiences with NL post. While I’ve read to some countries NL has quite an impressive record, today I just received (also last month) a parcel after 24 days, while usually with HK post the usual is 12 to 14 days.

I must note that untracked parcels are a wide 15 to 45-day shipping time range, regardless of postal service used.

So to Asian countries, my choice, according to past shipping experiences, is HK and SG post too.

Thanks for making this survey, it will make your choice of postal services more responsive according to individual general geographical locations.

My last order ran over 45 days in transit to the US, which resulted in my automatic PP dispute to protect myself. I think it arrived at about day 50. Sorry, I dont recall the carrier (i accepted the default), only the frustration of poor shipping performance. Its good to see you here trying to resolve this issue, because your company now has a bad reputation for its long delivery times.

On average, how long does it take to collect and ship an order from the time it is created by the customer?

Once the order is shipped, what is the average time in transit to delivery?

Good luck and we hope you can resolve these problems before you lose more customers.

Four orders to Australia from ordering to delivery. Not sure who the couriers were. 15, 16, 13 and 12 days. No problems here.

Around 20 days to EU with NL post…..20 to 25, i haven’t received any order which shipped with other post other then NL because they all where with NL post. So i don’t really know.

BTW its great to see that you are interested in improving the shipping times, and support generally Smile

I second this. SG post takes 40-45 days and you never know what shape the box or the product will be in.

I find HK post surprisingly quick (2 Weeks) comapred to China and Singapore post (3-4 Weeks+) to Australia.

To Uruguay

Gearbest was used only Netherland post for my packages (with tracking). NL is currently the best postal service. But Gearbest should improve time to packing and shipping within the company.

Untracked, I do not know the postal service used, but it is within the normal.

If anything can go wrong, it will.

Fasttech’s USPS via Hong Kong post still is the raining champion from my experience. Consistently delivers in about 8 days.

Perhaps a good option would be to allow a customer to choose between your shipping options at checkout?

I noticed in the last shipment I received from GearBest (replacement x3), according to the tracking they didn’t receive the package for 5 days from the creation of the shipping label. That may be an area to look into improving as well.

Last 2 packages I received came Hong Kong Post — came in a bag that was tattered and scraped and punctured, containing a mangled, crushed white cardboard box, around a fortunately not fragile flashlight that was OK.

An earlier order WW1407300751191470 — still “Processing” after 2 weeks — worries me: it’s a plastic “power bank” box and if it gets the same stomp-and-crush treatment it will be destroyed in transit.

Please wrap things in several layers of bubble wrap before putting them in an envelope.

Canada:

NL post: was 13 days for the Opus BT-C3100 !!!
HK post: was about 23 days for SingFire SF-348
SG post: was about 24 days for SingFire SF-348
SG post: sitting at 27days and counting for XINTD X3

So NL post is definitely the winner for me as I have had order from the US take longer than 13days to reach me…. Wink

I say just step up to DHL. I love DHL, HK to USA in under 4 days Smile

The rest of the shipping methods just suck, not consistent, lose 1/2 the items, damage them in transit, etc……

I wont purchase from overseas anymore mainly due to the shipping. Its not thatb I have an issue with the suppliers, I just dont want to deal with them when the package is lost or damaged.

BTW still waiting on my SS flashlight. Received a few PMs from you guys asking for my tracking number but ive been told many times that the HK# I got was just a reference number so I have nothing to give you guys and you have nothing to update me on……its a waiting game until 45 days come and then its paypal claim time. Unless you want to send another one now, then there is nothing you can do to help us outn

Sitting at 26 days now on current order. First order from you. Seems like every CN order except those from FastTech takes ~6 weeks which is right up against pay pals dispute window. I have only had to file one dispute because of this and did receive the package and subsequently cancelled the dispute. From what I’ve seen in tracking the delay is mostly right after shippers receive a package and it sits for 2-3 weeks in a transit hub in the Far East.

Hi Livinloud,

Thanks for your suggestion there, our website have already offered our users to choose DHL also but it must need an extra payment for shipping, the other ordinary post are included in our free shipping.
Sorry for your issue and since you didn’t reply the PM, I would answer you here that the orders under $40 will not generate a tracking number by courier’s system, without the tracking number we can’t check the tracking infos for you, if you want us to reship another one I could only suggest you to make a request for another one when you still not receive the pack in 45 days (starting count at the shipping date).
Hope this could help and thank you for your advice.:)

GearBest

Hi.
Can you clarify your meaning of shipped? Does this mean the goods are physically in the hands of the postal service and all necessary documents and fees already provided and paid? Or it means thepostal office was just provided info of a parcel for pickup but the actual goods are still with you?

Thanks
