Deal Extreme customer service

As in 50 cents?

Yes! unfortunately.

DX also sells lenses, usually by the bag! See if they have something that fits and ask for that.

Make a dispute with PP at once and then contact DX and your chances of success

are much greater. Remember to send them a picture of the broken lens.

If you dont do this way DX will stall you forever with silly mails.

Getting them to send a lens might be hard unless they have that particular size in stock, try getting them to send this one as a replacement or ask for a store credit and put it towards that lens.

I have only dealt with DX RMA once, and fortunately it was a nice experience.

I ordered 2 WF139 chargers. one was working fine, one had a faulty power cord, I sent them pictures and a video link to youtube, of me interchanging the powercord on the two chargers, just to show them that it was really a faulty cord.

I told them I do not want to return the whole charger and pay for shipping, since all I needed was the cord,I told them I could easily get one in a store, but I paid for a working charger, so I want a working charger. They asked me if I wanted store credit equivalent to the price of the charger, or wait for replacement, they also asked me not to return the charger anymore - I told them, I will just wait for a powercord replacement.

All these happened in a span of 2 days, sent the video on a Sunday, got a reply on a Monday morning and settled the thing that Monday afternoon. The replacement was tagged shipped 3 days later.

3 weeks later - lo and behold I got a whole charger as a replacement, bought a power cord in a local store and sold the extra charger.

dealextreme is ridiculous these days..I ordered 13 days ago and it still says order received and pending..13 days and still not even packed yet? come on..I tried chatting to a service rep and no one ever answers..i'm cancelling the order and never ordering from them again..joke of a company..

I got a dud light and battery. Offered me 65% of the cost price as a credit or I had to post it back. I took it. I know better now! Part of the reason they don't get my money anymore. Their loss is my gain (and Manafonts too- lol)

Wow! Thanks for all the great info guys. I think I will file a paypal claim and send DE a email with attached pic telling them they need to send me the replacement lens. If you guys do not order from DE or Manafront then who do you buy from?

I've had a couple of good experiences with Discoverybargain and Exduct (the latter for knives only)

Dealextreme CS has really been less than stellar lately. I've been ordering less and less from DX after years of being a loyal and mostly satisfied customer. One more thing: I won't advise against filing a claim with Paypal. Just so you know though, that will automatically put your order on "paused" and they will send you an automated email claiming that you've received a refund, which just isn't true. I suggest you do not close your dispute until you are satisfied with the outcome, because you cannot re-open it.

But I would advise you use their "customer service express" system, because DX doesn't really do email unless you know people there and have their personal email address. If you email or call, they'll pretty much ignore you.

Great stuff thanks again.

Anyway, ask their customer service for help.

Wow,

I guess I'm lucky. I bought a AKOray K-106, 5-Mode that fried on a 14500 battery. I e-mailed customer service and they told me "no need to return it", they sent me a replacement. It took about 2 weeks. The replacement works fine.

Lower your heart rate, contact customer service, work out a part or whole light replacement, give them a chance.

If DX wants their stuff back, they do have a clearing house in the USA, you can insist that they pay for all shipping. They didn't seem to want the hassle of RMAing a return and might just send you a new light.

Good Luck!

I have a small question about Paypal & DX.

I ordered recently 2 cheap XM-L bike lamps.

One week ago, one yesterday.

Week ago, I used "Express checkout". Order does not appear in "recent orders / invoices" -page

Order made yesterday, paid via "Standard checkout" appears as it should (packaging).

Any advice on this, should I be worried or contact them?

Paypal has transferred and logged both money transfers.

Have you checked new account management?

http://my.dealextreme.com/

I'd contact them anyway, just so they realize these things and update/fix their system.

Well, it gives me the page of order tracking. I don´t have tracking numbers for that order yet.

HOWEVER: when I first log out, then use your link and login again -> my account, I get a different list of purchases which includes the transfer from week ago.

Thanks! This is strange... New account manager does not have all other orders I have made in the past.

Back in mid-June I ordered a small, very cheap pocket-knife. Come mid-August I hadn't heard a thing. I put in a query with DX and essentially they couldn't say when or if the item would ever be in stock. So I asked for a different item. After 2 days I got an email saying this item was also not in stock, although the site indicated otherwise. So I asked for another different item. Guess what? Out of stock. When this happened for a third time I just asked for a refund. However, more than 60 days has passed so they couldn't refund via PayPal. Then I got the following email:-

Dear customer,

Have a nice day!

I have kept $3.64 usd as store credit for the order, please note, thanks for your support with DX.

If you want to use your store credits, please follow the steps below:
You make an order on our website and fulfill the payment.
You contact us and tell us the new order ID and the old order ID where your store credits were coming. Meanwhile you may tell us which items that you would like us to add to the new order.
We will add the items for free and arrange the shipment for you.
And if necessary we can also refund you the amount of your credits in the new order.

You may contact us if you have any further questions.

What?!

At this point I lost the will to live. In fact I'm writing this from The Beyond.

Make of this what you will.

A short time ago I experienced my first issue with a purchase from DX via PayPal.

Amid the PayPal sequence (standard checkout), PayPal sent up a screen saying that it had timed out (although there has been no delay on my side) and that I had to login again, which I did. The payment procedure continued from where it previously hung, but when completed, I received two pairs of email showing that I had effectively ordered the same item twice. I promptly cancelled the second order and got a refund notification in about a week.
