Test/Review of Brillipower 18650 3400mAh (Black)

Brillipower 18650 3400mAh (Black)

Official specifications:

  • Nominal voltage: 3.7 Volt, fully charged: max. 4.20V
  • Capacity: 3400 mAh
  • Temperature range: -20°C to 60°C
  • Top: Button Top
  • Size:: 68 mm (Length) x 18 mm (Diameter)

A protected 3400mAh battery, capacity is as expected.
The cell used can be discharged down to 2.5 volt, in my test I only discharges to 2.8 volt, i.e. I do not measure the full capacity. But then, not all lights will be able to use the full capacity.

The curves are as expected for this battery. The difference between the two 5A traces is probably due to component tolerances in the protection circuit. For one of the batteries the protection circuit trips just before the trace is finished.

Conclusion

A good 3400mAh battery, the protection does a good job in protecting the cell from misuse.

Thanks for the test!
Looks like an other rewrapped NCR18650B to me…

Nice…alot of capacity as well

Great review as always HKJ!

Nothing wrong with rewraps if it makes them more accessible and increases competition.

I like that type of button a lot better than the regular flat top button that comes on an unprotected NCR18650B. That other button is weak.

I have two of these batteries from more than a year now.
Decided to see finally,is it a Panasonic inside,or not.
I cut part of the wrapping. Light green color underneath.
Yet,not 100% sure,because there’s no marking where I cut.
