Best 1x18650 light for my need

The Kegos is a good thrower and it puts out a lot of light up close too. My Skyline 1 should be here today. I'm really loving this new little UltraOK Cree Q5 light I got for $14. I'm burning the light on high to see how long it will go. It don't even get hot, and it's been burning for 1 hr and 29 min as I type this abd it's still putting out quite of bit of light.

It seems you're getting more and more lights every day.

I will be testing my X9 runtime now.

Yea, and it seems I am a bit asleep. I told you the wrong light. It's the UltraOK Technology Cree Q5 w/o the gold band. It's rated at like 300 lumens. I meant to grab the other one with the gold band. Silly me.

This things been burning for 1.75hrs now and still going strong on the high mode.

Also love to runtime test all my lights, especially those I tend to use even on special occasions only.

Interesting thread.. Im also looking for a 1x18650 light, and are getting some bits and pieces of info here and there.

Whats nice about the x9, it has that huge head.. but thats also a minus.. Because I wont have much place to put it.. (i dont own a car) and my pockets will clearly be too small.

anyway.. waiting to see what others think.

the ones that I was been dubbing are the X9 and the Keygos..

would like to read a bit more about the keygos.. its also a bit cheaper..

I already have the X9 and the Keygos will be here hopefully by end of the week. Will be comparing the two by then. hopefully other member with bright and thrower 1x18650 lights will contribute to this thread. Definitely appreciate comparison among lights...

I was just bidding on ebay.. in the last 20 seconds, I got outbid on a (fake probably) L2 with XML...by 50 cents.....

gone for 17.50$

Thats really annoying.. its now 0:11, and waited 2 hours for this auction to finish....

those lights cost me a lot of ...... time......

I Just received my Keygos KE05 today and 1st impression is: It's small.

Here's a comparison pix.

X9, Skyline1, RQ, Keygos, L2P

Beamshot comparison.

X9, RQ xml, Keygos

Updated post #8 with the Keygos KE05 beamshot for comparison.

Thanks Ian2381 for the updates. I'm also looking for my first 18650 throw light and this thread is very helpful.

Once I get extra funds I'll try acquiring the Ultrafire 980L.

Hope to get more feed-backs from members owning 1x18650 throwers.

Nice thread

Just bought a Keygos KE-5 (with 2x UltraFire 2400mAh Battery + Charger) over eBay yesterday for 37.29$ after looking at both of your pic, impressed what that small light brings

Have 2 things i would like to ask..

Will the stronger battery like Ultrafire 4000mAh battery fit as well, thinks its a tiny bit longer.. Or if TrustFire has better batterys and equal capacity?

Im looking also for a Holster to the Keygos, is it the same size as the Ultrafire C8? So i can mabey fit my Keygos in the C8 holster?

Thanks

The "4000mah" batteries are fake.

The keygos should be similar size.

I Agree. I'm happy with the light and hopefully you'll like it. If you want optimum performance you should get better batteries, I have an XTAR 2600mah 18700 on the way. This batteries are longer but I think it will fit but tight, the Keygos have springs both on the driver and tail cap.

Ok, nice! So i can fit it in a C8 holster!

How do you mean by fake? That they dont hold 4000mAh?

Talking about these:

Tnx Ian2381

I live in sweden you know, so we dont use 3,7V batteries here so im all ears for what brand i should search for that has a nice mAh output also..

We just have the crappy 1.2V AA & AAA

3,7V batt's are abit harder to find here and they cost about 15$ each if i would find even any..

I'm not that expert in li-ion batteries and use only protected batteries to be safe. I suggest you search in the forum or read this thread as there are several good suggestions regarding batteries posted by members. I have protected AW 2200, solarforce 2400, ultrafire gray 2400 and on the mail is XTAR 18700 2600mah.

Looks like Manafont have a new light in the mix.

SKY RAY - CREE XLamp XM-L LED 1000 Lumen 2-Modes Alluminum & Stainless Steel Flashlight (1*18650/2*CR123A)

A bit expensive but definitely a thrower.
