Group buy feeler thread: Acebeam K40M with laser engraving - "BLF Edition"

New to Acebeam/Supbeam, so the control ring turn smooth without or have modes detent?

Interested depends on price to make decision ~

Price please?

Please PM price. Thanks.

Price please.

I'll save on the laser stuff to get the price downer.

I'd be interested at 60$ exclusive ship

I have the K40M and it’s a fantastic light. The control ring has detents in it just like the ThruNite TN35 and the same modes as well. The grease they use is very stiff and it takes more effort to rotate the ring but depending on your view point that could be a good thing or a bad thing. The K40M is a little bit shorter than the TN35 and the head is a few mm less wide but man does it work well!

On a white wall the TN35 kills it with a tighter and brighter hotspot but outside it changes and the K40M has far more spill and at the 79m distance I was testing it even throws better! I was stunned and had to go back and redo just to satisfy my amazement.

Ahh thanks JohnnyMac, seems like a well built flashlight from a trust worthy manufacturer, I want more spill than throw at my area, this could be my first MT-G2 if priced within my budget.

Please PM me for the price THE

Sorry...I had some beam shots posted here but the exposure time on them was different so it's not an accurate comparison. I will be retaking them tonight and reposting the accurate shots. ;)

Why the sudden fascination with Supbeam/Acebeam lights for high end expensive Group Buys? I would be more interested if someone would start one for the Fenix TK51 with it’s unique combination of flood and throw in one light, or another light of technical interest with some unique characteristic.

I already have three high power magnetic ring control lights, the Jetbeam RRT3, the Thrunite TN32 anf the Supbeam X40 and IMO the first two have poor UIs compared to the X40 due to the fact that they control the output in steps, like the K40M does. To me the big advantage of the magnetic ring user interface is the continuously variable output and neither of the first two lights listed have it. The X40 is also lacking in that the control ring does not have a standby position where the light is off except for parasitic drain, so none are ideal for a magnetic ring interface light IMO. I also have a Fandyfire Darth and the same comment applies to it as to the Jetbeam and Thrunite lights. The best magnetic ring user interfaces I have are on my Nitecore SRT7 and IFE2, Jetbeam RRT-0 and Jetbeam TCR2. Have the brightness continuously variable from standby to maximum output and add detents at the ends for any additional modes such as strobe, sos, colored LEDs operations etc. To me that is the best UI that I have yet tried and about the most idiot proof. Unfortunately no one offers it in a truly high powered light that I know of.

Please wait patiently. I'm not going to send PMs before the negotiations are over, and the price is final.

At the moment the price is a bit more than at BG (minus "BLF" of course). (But of course we would get the engraving..)

Not that I object to any group buy, but of late it seems to be a couple of very cheapy ones that are ho hum. And a lot of rather pricey ones, which frankly are just too pricey for me.

Can we have a group buy for something more mid range maybe?

I really don’t need just another cheap light that I won’t actually use and I can’t afford these expensive ones. But there are plenty in-between ones I’d be interested in.

If you can get the price down low enough I would be in... But it would need to be down below $100 for me to be able to...

Engraving actually is not quite important for me. The price does!

If it within my budget , I am interested.

I just learnt that this light is JohnnyMac approved, and based on a few minutes of own testing: I have to agree. :)

Please PM me for the price if you are interested.
